You may be able to continue using in this manner indefinitely, or as guido mentioned, you may run into a catalyst which results in more frequent use. There is no way of knowing which will happen until you run the course of your life.
I'm definitely not saying that it is inevitable, but you have a much higher chance of becoming a daily user if you are already an occasional user, as opposed to someone that does not use at all. This may happen 5, 10, 20 years from now, or never. This becomes a question of whether someone wants to risk the chance of becoming addicted by trying to use occasionally, or give it up altogether and eliminate the risk.
I agree with everything you say. I disagree with guido that "someday you will wake up addicted"; to say that there is zero chance is just wrong.
