Absolutely. I was pregnant with my first child and started spotting. I had done alot of work that day and just decided to sit down a bit. My cat came and sat on me as if to say "rest and don't move" for the rest of the evening and everything was fine. That cat had never been that obsessive about staying on my lap
 
I used to think my cat liked weed.

He used to come sit with me while I was packing bowls and listening to music.
