This is an old urban legend, like someone jumping off of a building thinking they could fly. Maybe someone did this, but they shouldn't be eating psyches in the first place if they are this foolish...

Most people who eat these substances have the right-mind to not try to injure themselves or do ridiculous things while on them. Just be smart, safe and mindful and they are not going to harm you.

there is nothing about LSD that makes you less conscious, quite the opposite rather

Either you still retain good amount of conscious while tripping to not stare at the sun.
Or you trip so hard, so you unable to look at something, and your eyes become automatically closed once you open them. In both cases you have a lot of other things to do, so why stare at the sun?

Not to mention that looking at the sun hurt your eyes, and you'll notice it.

Even personality replaced with a glass orange juice makes more sense to me.

Yeah this is one of the worst myths yet IMO, I think cannabis or opiates would make you more susceptible to staring into the sun than psychedelics, although I would hope a person is smart enough not to stare at the sun before he/she does drugs in the first place.

ah i looked at the sun once or twice today too and laughed at someone who had said he "didn't want to risk it" and so wouldn't look at the sun months ago. haha
