Opioids Can I use two 12.5 mcg fentanyl patches to equal to one 25 mcg patch?

I've been taking 100mg instant release Oxycodone for chronic pain and I ran out early this week and I am experiencing horrible withdrawals. All I have is 12.5 mcg fentanyl patches left over from last year and I put on one but it didn't seem to help. I was wondering if I stick on another am I increasing risks of overdose or am I still within safe limits considering my Oxycodone tolerance is 100mg?

I'd think u would be fine with both if ur just wearing them but get a 2nd opinion if hate to cause any harm. Look at the opioid conversion chart (lol my iPhone just corrected my opioid (I typod a lil) to poops). See what 100mg oc is equal to in fent

Its risky because instead of getting the fent from one source is gonna come from two. That means the fent will be going into your system two times as fast as if you just had one patch of the equivalent dose.

Please factor in that fentanyl patches worn properly take 13 hours to kick in.

2x 12.5mch/hr patches HYPOTHETICALLY delivers the same amount as 1 25mcg/hr patch, but the delivery will be faster. Do not attempt this without the green light from your doctor.

Oh crap! I hadn't considered that. I made this thread last night right before bed and when I didn't hear back I just put on the two patches. I'm not having any withdrawal symptoms right now so it must be working and perhaps my 100mg Oxycodone tolerance has made me tolerate the two patches. Or worst case scenario there is a delay and I may still yet feel the adverse effects.
