Can I take klonopin to help with an Adderall comedown

Can i mix adderal and klonapin? I'm just worried about mixing uppers&& downers. Ive looked it up online already(not here yet) but dont trust them 100% kuz they prob havent done it. It said yes / no known effects.

Well, it depends on the dosages. The combination in and of itself isn't inherently dangerous; in fact doctors often prescribe the two at the same time. It's just that you might end up taking way too much of one or the other as some of the effects will seem to cancel each other out. Say you take more clonazepam than you normally would because of the amphetamine, and then the amphetamine wears off while the clonazepam is still going strong. Like a delayed-overdose sort of effect. That's my understanding of it anyway.

Im not taking them together, but after taking a small amount of Add at like 3am yesterday, then 30mg at 8am, and 30mg at 7pm. My body needs sleep even if it doesnt want it lol. I would be taking 2mg of Klon now.

In the future try and make a more descriptive title so people who read it can see what you are asking and people who may have the same question and search for it will be able to find it.

I've changed it from "Can I mix..." to "Can I take klonopin to help with an Adderall comedown".

Also referring to times of day is meaningless as we are an international board and without your location you could be taking about 1 hour ago or 23 hours ago. Even with your location you'll have to hope whoever is answer will take the time to look up the time and date where you are so it's a lot easier just to say X hours ago.

Finally simple combination questions like this belong in Basic Drug Discussion so I am going to move it over there. As the other poster said though there is nothing inherently dangerous about taking a benzo for a stimulant comedown as long as you don't take more than you can handle with the stimulants masking the symptoms.

I dont think ive answered a more simple Q on BL
I wouldnt touch a stim without a benzo for a comedown from stims.

ive had experiences i just wanna forget about comin down from Ice/MDMA.
I dont think ive ever felt as bad as i have getting completely wasted drunk & taking mdma, acid or e.
im not ever gunna let myself go though that experience again. its traumatic & creates borderline pychosis.

hate the feel where ya brains still racing but ya body is exorsted but cant sleep.
if i ever find myself in that situation & dont have benzos I'll be buyin the OTAC sleeping aids.
but luckily i got antipychotics. 150mg seroquel. np passing out. & if that doesnt work. than take 250mg. its actually prescribed to up to 800mg a day. amazing. i dunno how u could get out of bed. seroquel similar to being realy drunk & smoking like 20 hits of good weed. its the strongest sedative ive tried. good for come downs not much use for anything else unless ya havnt slept in 3 days.

I thought i had taken the bens at 6 so i freaked out, went to get more and when i layed back down the originals were right beside me on the table. I guess that what i get tho for not asking for help right, but the Mod found me and helped figure out how to post in a better way and where. So thank you both! Hopefully i will be snoring soon : )

It is safe to use a benzo (such as Klonopin/clonazepam) to come down off of an amphetamine (such as Adderall). In fact, some doctors prescribe this combination. You'll be fine.

Mixing more potent uppers (i.e. cocaine) and downers (i.e. heroin), especially in large doses, is not recommended and highly dangerous. So what you have been told is true, but does not pertain to your specific situation. You are taking relatively small doses of both substances, but more importantly, not immediately in conjunction with each other. Time between intake and dosage make all the difference.

It is perfectly safe to take a benzodiazepine, or any downer for that matter, after the Adderall wears off. I don't know your tolerance but I would usually take 4mg of Klonopin after a long binge on speed (Meth or Adderall/Dexedrine). I had a tolerance to benzos.

Yes, clonazepam just like many benzos like it will help with the comedown from any stimulant (all amphetamines, cocaine, MDMA, etc).

You could've used the search function and found many, many thread just like this one. So for next time, you know to search first then post a thread when you feel like you didn't/couldn't find your answer.
