Can i take antihistamines after smoking heroin

I know that second and third generation antihistamines are less likely to enter the brain-cell barrier, and are a lil more indirect to effect the histamine attacks for opioid users, but i was wondering whether i could take Xyzal or any other second or third generation antihistamines to immediately get rid of the severe itching after smoking heroin, as i am very prone to the crazy opioid itches!
And also, what are the interactions of these antihistamines with the heroin itself.... Any detailed info will be appreciated. .. Thanks in advance

Welcome to bluelight.. While this question would probably be best suited for Basic Drug Discussion. I'll answer this for you here. While, personally, I've never taken Xyzal when I using. I would take a benadryl about 20 minutes before I would shoot morphine since I get a bad histamine reaction from it. That would take care of the redness, the itching, and hive breakouts I could get when I would use Morphine. It also added to the sedation and potentiation so I didn't mind it. It says that Levocetirizine (Xyzal) treats the symptoms including watery eyes, runny nose, sneezing, hives, and itching. So it should be effective in reducing the histamine reactions. Though personally I prefer benadryl (diphenhydramine).
