Can i stay clean?

Iv been free from heroin since 16th February 2011,i also used amphetamines a lot too,i do feel much happier without drugs in my life but im getting worried that im due to relapse at some point in the very near future?im currently prescribed 6mg of subetex daily,its definately holding me but i have once or twice had that URGE.What are the percentage ratings for me to relapse back onto heroin?im really worried about CDT all my worker keeps going on about is getting me off the Subetex but i know im just not ready,iv told him more than once im wanting to keep how i am on my dose now,any advice please,thanks v,much x8(
 
I'm not sure if there are percentage ratings but Suboxone is one of the best maintenance drugs out there...

If you're still getting cravings there is always the option of talking to your doctor about maybe upping your dose to deal with those extra cravings.

NT's advice on point. Might wanna up the suboxone if you're getting cravings or use potentiators such as marijuana or benzos or whatever you need to do to keep those cravings at bay.
 
If you are not sure you can stay clean, then it seems like you have already given in to your urges in your mind, but haven't gone through with them.

I suggest talking with someone in real life like a sponsor, because I see your asking if you can stay clean from heroin, and even with I am going to stay clean from heroin attitude relapse still struck me 3x luckily on separte occasions each and only a single day each time. I new as soon as I would question my sobriety it would happen fully, but even after the relapses the next day I was sure I was going to be clean. (I relapsed by being around someone shooting up like an idiot)

Hopefully your able to stay with it, and get your head up.

Just curious, why get on suboxyne? My friends who went that route, told me they regretted it and that is why I went cold turkey with a bunch of codeine to minimize the withdraws. I was a daily Iv user for 3 years. 1 1/2 years off opiates, but I admit I still occasionally do meth, but I can only get it every 2-3 months when friend comes to town, and like it that way, plus I never got carried away with it in the past.
 
Iv never been on anything other than subetex but i did in the first place ask for this because i felt like it would make it that be better for me to say no to using again with it being a full blocker as it is.

Pammy you have nearly been clean from heroin for a year now. So what if you have had the urge to use a couple of times.
You obviously fought the temptation to use and won so well done on that. So you know you can resist the urge to use.
Keep on doing what you are doing and these urges will become less and less frequent.
You don't want to use once and feel that you have let down a whole year of hard work.
You have done the hardest part and it should only get easier for you in the future.
I wish you all the best Pammy,keep up the fight cos you know its worth it.
 
Well when I went to rehab for heroin they said without medication there's only a 10% chance of not relapsing and that's with rehab.
 
I never believe these statistics that are reeled off. Telling folk that there is only a 10% chance of not relapsing is only setting people up to fail in their mind.
Every individual is different.
 
I dont want to use!

Iv been off the heroin now since Feb last year when i say off it i mean since back then iv used probably about 4/5 times,iv fond it a bit of a struggle the past 3 weeks or so trying to NOT use again.I have no clue as to why iv got this massive urge but its haunting me as each day passes,its not getting any easier.I had appointment with my drugs worker Friday just gone and he gave me this craving diary?he reckons it will help in some sort of way,personally i cant see how.Another thing im thinking of trying is acupuncture?supposed to be a benefit,i have heard this from people before so i dont think it could do any harm trying it out to see if it will help me in any way atall.Im currently prescribed 6mg of Subetex i was reduced from 8mg about 3 months ago and it does seem to be doing good for me i suppose but i just cant help but feel like a little bit of tackle.I know that if i use then it could be a big bad turn for the worst,i could quite possibly end up wanting to do it again and so on,i know iv used since last Feb but i didnt have the sort of cravings like iv got now,i felt like i was in control of it each time.Im thinking about getting my Subetex put back up to my origional dose of 6mg a day?i believe that it apparantly helps with cravings?id appreciate any advice if anybody has any please,with many thanks.:X

Why don't you try Naltrexone? It has done wonders for me. Swim has quitted cold-turkey heroin the same date as you and i've been using the 50mg pill every morning a week after that. I still have cravings and use heroin occasionaly from that day but ALWAYS in small doses just for the craving. If you have a solid character and a tiny bit of logic you can combine both (I STRESS IT AGAIN,ONLY IN SMALL DOSES) to get rid of the occasional cravings. For details you can always pm me. EDIT: i just noticed you use Subutex and not suboxone.Subutex contains 1/4 naltrexone which blocks far more little than the 50mg pill. Ignore my text before EDITED.It is dangerous to use susbutex and heroin. First switch to pure naltrexone and then try to get rid of the cravings as i suggested. That's my advise
