Can I mix Oxycontin with Trazodone?

Can I mix Oxycontin with Trazodone? I am withdrawling from oxy and was hoping I could take this trazodone I have. I have never taken trazodone before but anything to help these miserable withdrawls.

Yes you can mix OxyContin with Trazodone. You can mix any opiate (other than Tramadol (if you wanna call it an opiate) or Pethidine (Demerol)) with Trazodone.

My shrink wanted to script me trazadone because I couldn't sleep knowing I was on Oxy IR. So I think it's safe to say yes... Plus I have a friend on Trazadone for sleep and he is on OCs... I think it's pretty routine. Just be careful as always

So I have a question because you stated that you are currently withdrawing from oxy. When was your last dose? I would only recommend taking Trazodone at night because it made me very sleepy. Unless you are staying at home and not have to drive anyplace. It was very strong for me and I had a hard time waking up in the morning. But I guess it affects people differently. Also just a heads up... One of the side effects of trazedone is nightmares.. So if you freak out and wake up just know its the medication..
