Hi Bluelighters :)
I won't make this a long thread.. I tried searching this online, but it just gives me recipes on Cannabutter.
I heard a few stories growing up about my friends who used to eat either Thc bud or resin and it got them really really high.
I don't touch Thc anymore because it gives me really bad anxiety, but I really like Cbd and it helps me sooo much.
Preparing bongs and joints all the time, is somewhat time consuming for me, sometimes.
I wondered if ingesting Cbd bud would make the effects last longer, do nothing at all, or even be bad for me?
I'm a bit of a newb, sorry about that! :)

Thanks guys!

You'd need to decarboxylate it first (bake in oven for about an hour at 110c) to covert the CBDA into CBD and then yeah you can just eat the flower if you like. I expect it would last longer but I've never tried smoking/vaping CBD flower so couldn't say first hand.

Thanks man!
I'll try putting it in the oven :) Also I might do some baking with it.
I always did want to bake some edibles anyway (Cbd that is).
Time to look up some recipes for cookies :D :D

Appreciate it!

I gather from other sources, that you don't need to additionally de-carb 'already vaped bud' as the vaping decarbs it, and so AVB is good to go for edibles? Adding the AVB to melted butter and spreading on toast or just swallowing the melted butter direct seems a very easy and tasty way of doing this. I need to research the amounts of the doses though.

Is one heaped teaspoonful generally a good dose of AVB do you, or anyone else, know? Of course it will depend on how much THC is left in the bud, post vaping. My AVB is very mixed, with some lightly vaped, and some much more heavily vaped, and everything in between.....

Another tangentially related thing I read somewhere (probably Reddit) is that soaking your abv overnight in cold water then drying it out again helps get rid of that unpalatable 'burnt' flavour without removing any of the remaining cannabinoids. Might be worth trying if planning on using abv to make edibles but probably doesn't matter if you're just eating it as it.

Fwiw I've tried smoking abv before and not gotten much out of it but as with all things ymmv.

Maybe eating allows more of the remaining cannabinoids to be digested, as opposed to in effect trying to smoke bud that's kind of already been smoked, although of course vaping is technically different, as there is no combustion involved.

Just a hunch really, although I have been reading that people are getting good effects from ingesting AVB, perhaps quite large quantities are required, more in the region of tablespoons than teaspoons, I'm not sure.

Tbh I'm a little anxious about trying it and ending up having some kind of long drawn out 'bad trip' type of experience. I understand that edibles can be a lot more "psychedelic" than just vaping or smoking, but the doses are hard to judge and easy to get wrong it seems to me. I've just yesterday found that phenibut is amazing for preventing any type of anxiety or negative experiences with weed, it almost completely stills and calms my mind, but phenibut is definitely not a substance that I want to be doing often. It could be highly seductive for me, as it does very effectively 'fix' many of my troublesome issues related to anxiety etc. But by many accounts, the rebounds with regular use are said to be particularly nasty.

You can buy terpenes to add various twists on to the standard cbd experience.
Yeah I have been trying some of those with some success. The effects have seemed pretty mild though so far.

Phenibut seems far more powerful at reducing any potential negative effects, while not dulling any of the good effects.

I've heard similar stories of people getting high from uncooked/combusted bud, never wanted to choke it down to try myself though. It seems the accepted wisdom is that it must be decarboxylated first. I've not made CBD only edibles but you should be on the right track if you follow a weed recipe.

As you say it will depend on how much THC is left in the avb, I generally vape until the flavour is gone and it begins to taste a little burnt, then add it to the pot of avb. I find that a heaped teaspoon of this will give a decent high, for those new to edibles maybe start lower.

If you vape until there are no effects to be had then you won't get much out of eating the avb.

I make avb coconut oil or just put it in a capsule and eat a few.

On a similar note, if there are any dabbers, reclaim is orally active without additional decarboxylation. Sometimes I'll just put a glob into a gel capsule and it works well. Only difficult part is pinpointing the dosage. I assume that dosing similar to RSO is good. A glob about the size of a rice grain. Probably a little weaker than RSO considering that some of the cannabanoids have already been vaped off but its definitely still active

Yeah its mild but theres one magical quality to eating terpenes - it cures stuttering. I've had a stutter all my life and the first time I ate terpenes fucking hell!! I'm fluent.
I'm really not sure if you're joking or not. Judging by your post history I guess that you are.

The rebound is really nasty, I've heard. Just stick with once a week and you'll be fine.

You absolutely can have a psychedelic experience eating vaped bud if you eat enough. It can actually be surprisingly potent and last for ages too. Be careful if you're prone to anxiety.

Perhaps lower doses of phenibut could be useful for anti-anxiety with edible already vabed bud etc?

If I'm having an 'enhanced' listening to music session I'll usually take 1.5 -2g along with some beers and a stimulant.

But I do tend to feel kind of mentally rinsed out for several days afterwards.

I've read that much lower doses in the range of around 300mg can be effective for anxiety? Perhaps much lower doses like this could still achieve the desired result, but avoid the rinsed out feeling afterwards, or greatly reduce the intensity of it?

Everything seems to be a balancing act, and it seems there's always some kind of toll to pay for taking too much of anything, or for taking it for too long or too regularly.

As you know, with phenibut, YMWV. I guess you could try lower doses and see how it goes. Generally I think you're better not mixing it with anything except maybe weed.

I think the worst thing you can do is mix it with other gabaergic substances, though, including alcohol.

You're probably right.

It feels so good at the time though. Phenibut + a decent stimuant + moderate consumption of alcohol + weed = music sounds almost as fantastic as it does on GBL. The combo does feel like GBL lite in a few ways. I think phenibut + alcohol is chemically not a million miles away in terms of GABA action, but I wish I had a greater understanding or knowledge of all that stuff. The stims just give things that extra immediacy, fizz, and sharpness, which I can't get enough of tbh.

But unlike GBL, which had no memorable comedowns or rebounds for me, with occasional use, the combo I've mentioned above does.

It's nothing like the severity of the infamous post Es comedown, but still definitely enough to make things anhedonic for a few days. Then you end up asking yourself if it was worth it.

But some time later, I'll probably do the whole thing all over again. :p
