can I block someone

I am brand new here and already am dealing with a nutcase. Is there a way to block someone?

I'm sorry to hear your having issues with a member of the site - have you reported the posts to the moderator of the section? Abuse is taken very seriously and it will be dealt with by the staff (you can either use the report function on the message or PM one of the section moderators).

You can block somebody - simply click on the user name you wish to block and view profile, you then have the option to 'ignore' that person. That means they cannot PM you and any posts they make is hidden from you so you don't have to bother reading them etc.

For some reason i dont have the block option. In fact i cant seem to do anything on my profile or anyone elses. I am using a generic browser should i try my chrome browser?

if you are being harassed, please report the private messages. without that audit, there's nothing we can do.

Try it in Chrome - when you click on the persons profile you should get the following - just click the 'add to ignore list' option

Nobody should suffer abuse on the site and people are encouraged to report it.
