Can GBL be smelled by police dogs, etc?

I love GBL (1,4) and sometimes have a little of it on me... can GBL (or GHB for that matter) be smelled by police dogs? Not like I plan to carry it around some cops, but it is good to know. I did a search on this here and found nothing, if there is something, please point me to it. Thanks!
 
I don´t think that they´re trained to smell it. Sorry i´ve also found nothin, but if u love gbl how do u take it? Do u mix it with others?
 
Hi Friendly, yes I was told it was odorless but who knows how LA police dogs are...
I take a tiny amount when I am coming down from rolling, like 1/4 teaspoon no less than 2 hrs apart, and it feels so awesome. It gives me and my girlfriends "body orgasms." The guys really like that E+GBL combo too but the girls seem to like it more! :-)
 
I love GBL and 1,4. They are great from coming off a roll or any other pschedelic! I wouldn't worry about dogs sniffing out GBL on you. I ussually keep it in Gel Caps if I'm carrying doses on me for the night.
 
Hi sweatybee, that's a good idea... do you buy them already in gel caps, or do you buy empty gel caps (and where do you get empty gel caps)?
 
Do a search on google and you can buy a bag of a thousand for cheap. Tons of places sell them. Get the biggest ones you can. I think there "OO"s size.
 
How the hell do you keep gbl in gelcaps without the gbl eating away at the cap??
Shit, I had just a tiny bit on my fingers and touched my keyboard and it melted the plastic on the mousepad (laptop) and on the "H" key. And I had very little on my finger tips after touching the barrel of the syringe I use to draw it out from a bottle. I'd think it'd just eat right through the gelcap.
 
I use an eye dopper to fill the capsules, no problems with he GBL eating through the caps.
 
i usually have also gel caps. the thing with gel caps is they don´t melt.... if u use normal plastic caps they´ll be solved for sure...
 
1) Can dogs smell it? Well, if they were trained to then they would, but currently dogs are not trained to pickup GHB/GBL .. I'm not saying there isn't a single dog in this world that could detect it, but that would be a specialized dog - certinly NOT your basic police/customs drug dogs... shit, when they raided our apartment they brought two dogs - one to sniff out drugs and the secret service had their own dog trained to sniff out specific types of PAPER and INK .. so dogs can be trained to detect most anything!
2) You can safely put GHB in gel caps.. kinda funny how the shit will remove permanate marker but wont eat through caps that disolve in your mouth.. you can also find empty caps at GNC (some stores) ..
So don't worry about yer GBL smuggling, you're safe! Just put it in a contact lense solution bottle and toss it in yer luggage or whatever..
 
GBL and 1,4 are two different things.
GBL is a ketone (like acetone, aka nail polish remover) so it will dissolve SOME plastics, but not others.
1,4 is a diol (di-alcohol), it is a less powerful solvent, but I am unfamiliar with it.
I've never heard of any dogs being trained to smell the stuff, and it's probably one of the safest drugs to transport. Put it in shampoo bottles, contact solution bottles, hairpray bottles etc. I've never heard of anyone getting busted and can't conceive someone going through your luggage and testing for it (there is no instant test that I'm aware of).

Go to the grocery store and get some cranberry extract capsules. Leave them in your car on a hot day. There is gelatin mixed with the cranberry extract. It will solidify in the heat and then you can open the capsules and the stuff will fall out like pellets leaving virtually no residue. Only cost about $4.00 for 100 caps.
Basically, it's just a lot simpler than ordering them and having to wait, blah blah blah. Plus it will save you a few bucks, sort of like 1-800-COLLECT!
Hmm.. I'd be careful with plastic bottles. GBL does tend to dissolve 'em. It won't break or anything, but do you really want to be drinking dissolved plastic?

GBL is not ketone. It has carbonyl group like ketones, but it's cyclic ester.

Semantics really. The carbonyl group causes it to act like a ketone (i.e. fuck up polystyrene).

It's called gamma-butyroLACTONE. Intramolecular esters are called lactones.

My point was that despite of some similarities, GBL is chemically far form acetone, which you gave as an example of ketone. If you tell here that GBL is like acetone, someone not so educted may associate that they have more similarities than they relly do. In the worst scenario someone might draw a conlusion that GBL and acetone would share same kind of pharmacological properties, which they really don't do.
 
Just as everybody else said GHB?GBL is odorless & can not be detected by police dogs. Like Phreex said I'm sure there may be one or two dogs out there that are trained specifically to pick up odors associated with this drug,but, your chances of ever coming accross one of these super muts is highly unlikely. So for the meantime don't sweat your smuggling of GBL/GHB...
