Is it something that would ever be used to treat chronic headaches?

Do benzo's have constipation as a side effect? Like would be frequent with opioids?

yes they can cause such lazy gut but if the shit needs to get out, it will sooner than later. If you have no other conditions. I have, but it will anyway.

At the moment the constipation is slightly useful as I've been recently suffering from mild and persistent diarrhea.

The type you have to take a shower after using the bathroom.

Since going back on solpedeine/codeine, that's been alleviated (just hope it doesn't reverse too far and I get haemorrhoids, again).

It sounds like benzo's would not provide that benefit (zopiclone didn't previously).

........

But yeah if I'm using something like this for months on end, probably better a small amount of codeine than benzo's (+ subsequent benzo withdrawal)?

Would an anti-psychotic drug like aripriprazole be effective in treating/preventing headaches?

Stress/tension/exertion headaches?

Anyone used it, or any anti-psychotic, and found it effective in prevent stress headaches?

Would it be more/less effective in preventing stress headaches that paracetamol/solpedeine (the paracetamol/codeine/caffeine combo)?

On reflection:

The nature of headache I get is basically from exertion, from thinking constantly.

I don't think an anti-psychotic would benefit addressing that.

Lyrica or a GABA drug would dull me, don't think that would help either.

I had tried amphetamine to act as a cognitive booster but it actually had a counter-productive outcome and made me sleepy, and then ultimately feel like dog shit when it wears off.

Yes. It's possible that it will make your headache better, given the headache comes from "thinking too much", which I consider a by-term for anxiety or stress. It's just like how you can treat an ulcer in your gut with Benzodiazepines, if the ulcer is ultimately being caused by stress. The issues arising with Benzodiazepine usage would be the same as for any other condition. If you use them incorrectly i.e. too much for too long, the can be devastating to your mind and body. If used as indicated, that being every once in a while or for no longer than 2-4 weeks at a go, you should be fine.

@JohnBoy2000 I mean absolutely no disrespect. I consider your headaches to be a legitimate problem, but I'm a little concerned that the HR forums of Bluelight aren't the right place to be asking these questions. Your primary goal here is not to find out about a drug, its effects or how to use said drug safely, but to find a cure for headaches. This is a totally legitimate thing, but this isn't really the best place to be looking. If you have specific questions about a drug or how it might effect your personal safety, you can always come ask us.

I'm just a moderator for Bluelight, so, not a person knowledgeable about fora in general. I'm sure there are places like this where people with headaches go to discuss these things, I'm just not aware of it off the top of my head. As always, I'm happy to reopen this if I'm mistaken here, so feel free to get at me.
