speaking as a female, a vibrator can totally over-stimulate. if i keep one on my clit for too long (especially on a higher setting) i start getting the same numb feelings you describe, and sometimes even start to feel sick/lose my orgasm.

Yep I have had this happen to me a few times as well. I'm not big on masturbation (due to SSRIs; even though I've been off anti-depressants for nearly 3 years my libido has never recovered), but there have been a few times when I've used a vibrator on my clitoris, climaxed, then gone for the second orgasm, but just had the nausea/loss of arousal thing happen.
 
^^ Yep I've had my hormones checked several times, they're all normal. To be honest it doesn't really bother me because, well, if I've got minimal sex drive, I don't think about sex, so I'm never horny. It's not like I'm pining away for my libido, because it literally doesn't cross my mind.

I know that sounds awful to people who have a big sex drive but to me it's not awful at all, it's just how it is :D
 
I understand thank you for sharing. I've been thinking about this awhile now and I've come to the conclusion that you are hinting at: its not ideal to have this or that level of sex drive. A high or low sex drive can still lead to a fruitful happy life. I think its important to find a match in your partner (close at least).

I have what I guess is a high sex drive and I wouldnt want it to change but I could see more and more how having a lower sex drive would be tolerable.

Absolutely!! And it's not to say that I don't enjoy sex. I absolutely LOVE it! It's just that it's rarely on my mind, so if my partner isn't around to actually engage in sex, I don't think about it and therefore don't have any urges for me to satisfy on my own.
 
must really be peaceful. I think about sex literally 24 hours a day. Sometimes its sorta in the background but its never not there. Either remembering something sexy my partner did or thinking about the future when the time is right and we get together. its a blessing and a curse I suppose :D
