Took some ADD meds w/o being prescribed to them for studying. Later when I ran out, I took a caffeine pill and two ibprofens. The caffeine helped me more than the ADD meds did! Is there a correlation or is this just placebo?

It sounds like it was placebo, or maybe you were really wired on caffeine? It also would depend upon if you actually enjoy the subject for the class/exam, or whatever you were studying.

I'm not sure about the ibuprofen, but as someone with Non Verbal Learning Disability, anxiety/depression and possible ADHD, I find caffeine to have a very powerful effect on me, both positive if used properly and negative if used improperly.

I find that on the right dosage my powers of concentration are VERY strong (it is a performance enhancing drug after all) and I think for those of us with sensitive neurology it might not be placebo that it could be helping us with our AHDH or disabilities.
