Ok I generally drink at LEAST 1 large can per day. I was wondering how bad this really is for you. I've used it to stay up for 4 days once when a warcraft expansion came out and I needed to level.

It's almost to the point I can't even wake up with out drinking one when I roll out of bed. I'm like a zombie till I down one.

If caffeine gets your rocks off, good for you.

There shouldnt be any real side effects aside from the typical culprits such as tooth decay, stomach aches etc.

But just a curious question, why dont you drink coffee instead?

worry about getting diabetes from all the sugar in that stuff. not sure about all the other stuff they put in there though.

they have sugar free redbull now. probly tastes like shit though

There is 80mg of caffeine in a redbull. For over two years I would drink the equivalent of 12 of those redbulls or more a day. Pounding wired x344 and no doz. I can honestly say I was addicted to caffeine, I could not function without it. Quit all together and am much happier now. Honestly I feel more "awake" not using caffeine than when I HAD to use it. It is completely safe tho, know many 40, 50 year old caffaholics. Food for thought tho, one time a nurse listed to my heart and asked if I drank a lot of caffeine cuz my beat was a little off. Kinda scary, but I've never heard of anything negative happening from caffeine, especially that small of a dose. Most people drink that much caffeine in pop alone daily.

there have been reports of deaths from drinking too much redbull. it basically is a way to get kids addicted to sugar so when they turn 21...they can switch them easily to alcohol...which also turns to sugar in your blood. Basically....energy drinks are a scam.....you can get what you need from iced tea and in alot more reasonable dose.

you might want to think about looking into nodoz or something if it's the caffeine high you are after. otherwise if you actually like the redbull, then all i can say is ew, pick an energy drink that tastes good at least lol.

As long as your not sitting down ALL day and you do some kind of physical exercise it couldnt be worse than drinking a can of coke every day which im sure many, many people do.

Its probably not healthy though, just dont go drinking like 4-5 a day. I think some caffiene is good for you, doesnt it help your metabolism or something?

Alot of mornings that I go for a surf (3- days a week) I have a chocolate bar and a red bull after brekkie or the extra energy. So I guess if your already a healthy person it cant be too bad.

I dont know if theres anything different in those "V" drinks but I had a friend who was drinking like 4 a day for awhile and he started coughing up blood, he wasnt sure if that was why but he stopped drinking "V" and he stopped coughing up blood. That stuff is vile though, redbull is way better than V.

A can of redbull has only 80mg of caffeine. In comparison, a large cup of strong coffee has 300-400mg. So a cup of coffee is equal to about 5 cans of redbull. Basically you are paying for a tiny bit of caffeine and a whole lot of placebo. Quit wasting your money. If you want caffeine, drink coffee.

80mg of caffeine is a fair enough dose. 300-400mg would give most people an unpleasant case of the jitters. I'd say a strong cup of coffee has more like 200mg of caffeine than the amount you mentioned.

Redbull has taurine (spelling?) and lots of sugar as well to give you that extra bit of energy. I don't touch the stuff though I feel like death after it wears off. I only ever drink coffee or the like if I know I'm going to be taking opiates or downers later anyway, or sometimes I have a cup so I can stay awake to enjoy a downer buzz.

im also a huge fan of redbull, and i personally think it tastes better than coffee (though il still have coffee with breakfast, etc.) sometimes i drink the sugar free one, but its usually the big normal one

by the way, a few of you mentioned that a can of redbull has 80mg of caffeine, the small ones do, but the OP said he was drinking one of the large 500mL cans, which have 160mg,just a correction

Just wondering, but isn't there other things like Guarana and Taurine in RedBull drinks that enhance the caffeine rush? Is that the shit that's bad for you? I could be completely wrong on this though. JW.

It's the taurine in red bull that gets you ripping. The caffeine is nothing. IME taurine is much more powerful than caffeine, but everyone's different. And if I remember correctly, I read about a girl in her early 20's that used red bull as a diet supplement. She drank 13 a day for 8 months, lost 100 pounds in those 8 months, then had a heart attack...In her early twenties.

I only drink redbulls sugar free , sugar is just extra empty calories so I stick to the sugar free ones. I also heard too many energy drinks and you can be putting too much vitamin B in your system.
