CA, San Francisco - 10.02.2004 ***LOVE PARADE***

I'm looking fowards to this, I'm not sure if I can get the 2nd off of work but I just requested the 3rd. I know I can at least pop up on the second though, Good Times.

I wouldn't dream of it. %) Andy's just jealous. :p

WTF ......

:-(

i know:( christian smith is still gonna be there though. im in contact with this guy from sf who knows of an afterparty with christian smith and loads of other techno djs. i'll post that info as soon as he gives it up:)

Wow I almost bought tickets to that afterparty at Kelly's Mission Rock untill I saw this on the venues web site www.kellysmissionrock.com ;

"Dress code strictly enforced, No sportswear, no hats, and no white tees"

I know that this kind of bullshit is common in some of the more upscale clubs around Vegas and some in L.A. but im really hoping that this isnt what im going to have to be looking forward to in S.F. Its too bad to, this afterparty had real potential.

highly recommended. kelly's mission rock is right on the water, very close to the parade, and near Sno-Drift where Mark Farina is spinning an afterparty as well.

Vinnie, dude, its only sportswear, hats, and tshirts. Sneakers, jeans, and a button up are fine.

Love Parade -------------------------> East Bay

East Bay could be 30 minutes or it could be 1 hr 30 min. Depending on the venue, which I assume won't be announced til the day of the party.

Is East Bay far from the LP????

it's over the bridge by car which is a slight pain in the ass or a HUGE pain depending on the time you do it. by BART (train) it is reasonably simple but i believe the bart trains to the east bay stop running around midnight or so. i might be wrong about that, but my impression was that you basically got stuck out there if you didn't catch bart by a certain early time.

"east bay" probably means berkeley or oakland. if you have a car it might be doable, but i don't see why anyone would want to bother with the east bay when there are going to be a million afterparties right in the city.

double edited for mega-secrecy ;)

Jeans and a button up would be fine with me if I intended either of the following;

1.) Wearing a button up to the parade which I have heard ends at 9pm after which I am not returning to my hotel to change out of one of my obnoxiously liberal pro-democratic T-shirt.

or

2.) Staying in any kind of "dress code enforced" cool, collected, not looking like a crackhead state.

My problem isnt so much with what is 'prohibited' as far as clothing is concerned but is more focused on the type of establishment that enforces such a dress code. Im still considering this afterparty based on the feedback I get from a few SF locals I know as to the atmostphere of this club as I am a virgin to the bay area scene but im not really the 'Dress to Impress' crowd if you know what I mean.

^^ thats okay, 99.99% of us are not exactly "dress to impress" material most of the time. ;) and all it says is no white tshirts. you can still wear a tshirt. just not a white one. i think most of us will have backpacks with water, fresh shirts, socks, etc to avoid total stank gnarliness post-parade anyways. ;) those with cars can be used to stash our bags before the clubs or something.

...just an idea. :)

He's actually on tour overseas...he'll be spinnin' in Stockholm, Sweden that night @ a club called Grodan...doing a house set.

Is that the info ya needed ?? It doesn't look like Adam will be in the US the rest of the year. Fucking other countries hogging him up.

Many trash cans have recycling cages (for plastics, aluminum, and glass). Be sure to find these cans and use them!

What the fuck are they touting those tiny ass recycling cages for? Only things that fit in those is a 40 and a dead pigeon. Okay, well maybe more like a few 40's and one and a 1/2 dead pigeon? Someone back me up on this, yo?! ;)

those recycling cages on the trash cans may be small, but they get the job done. throw a glass bottle in there and i guarantee a bum (or some other interested party) will be there to swoop it up within 2 minutes. you don't need a lot of storage space when you have Bum Recycling.
