RCMP out with warning about synthetic drug "Incense"

One teen was taken to hospital after getting sick from the drug

FORT ST. JOHN (NEWS1130) - RCMP in Northern BC are concerned after a group of teens ended up getting really sick while trying to get high on a synthetic drug being dubbed "Incense."

Fort St John RCMP's Jodi Shelkie says they've never seen anything like this before.

"[The teens] believed that by smoking this incense that somehow they would experience a marijuana-type high. However, all it did was make them sick. The fellow that had to go to the hospital, he tried more than the other kids did," Shelkie notes.

She's hoping parents across the province will take this opportunity to talk to their kids.

"Kids are getting information from peers and on the Internet and a lot of it, if not most of it, isn't correct."

A drug being called "Herbal Incense" has been plaguing places like Cleveland, Ohio -- street names include "Spice" and "K2."

Experts say it can cause hallucinations and psychosis.

^lol that's possible. The article doesn't mention much info so who knows what they smoked. I'd be surprised if no one has mistakenly smoked or snorted actual incense or bath salts at some point or another. Kind of a weird reaction for a bunch of kids to go to the hospital, they probably just freaked each other out and had panic attacks.

this is just the lowest common denominator of the "spice" stuff. people don't get super sick smoking on myrrh gum.

I disagree guys some of that commercial spice stuff is dangerous. one of my boys ended up having a grand mal siezure and kidney failure after daily use of a few months. he is alive but noticeably slower afterwards.

But yeah I don't think the people making legal highs have health in mind. Your much better off ordering pure and making your own blends. The only one I ever tried was JWH018 oh how I miss those days.
