At The Empire Polo Field, Indio, Ca.
Gates open at 11AM
Box Office opens at 9AM

Tickets go on sale this Saturday, February 5th at Noon PST at all Ticketmaster locations, charge by phone and on line at www.ticketmaster.com

Tickets are $80 for a single day ticket or $150 for a 2 day pass plus $1 for charity per day and applicable service charges.

I was waiting to see what the lineup for this was again this year. I would really love to go to this, but I always end up having finals the week after and there is no way that I can make it from the SE all the way out West and then back with my brain ready for Exams. I really do wish that I could go though.

to anyone whos attended before: how much did it roughly end up costing? Assuming your from the eastcoast or midwest; 2 day ticket + flight+ hotel + boose ect...
 
For some reason this lineup just isn't hitting the spot for me (besides of course NIN which will no doubt be epic)

lots of dope bands, but i guess the dance lineup for the '99 and '00 festival just spoiled me way to much compared to this years electronic lineup.

Now im going to go shoot myself for soundling like a close-minded elitist....:(

Ya know, I thought they wouldnt be able to top The Pixies, but then they went and fucking booked New Order.

I will probably be there Sunday.
 
The headliners are good, but the smaller acts are just eh. Im sure theyre all good, but there are no djs that caught my eye. Doesnt matter, because I wont be going anyway. Have fun!!! :)
 
Only 2 years experience at Coachella has taught me that you can't get too excited about any of the dance music talent that they book, because there is TONS of variables that go into whether or not it sounds good to the crowd....years past have had shitty speaker setups, poor tent ventilation, too many people, etc. which have amounted to PISS POOR dj perfomances in some cases....but that's how it goes.

Summation? I have preferred the small hiphop and indy rock acts in the past two years so much that I have ditched the feature stage acts to see some no-name band kick complete ass....so that's what I'll be doing this year too...besides the obvious headliners *orgasm*

I so wish that I could figure out a way to get out to Cali for this shit, but I am probably going to spend the majority of my money in Miami for Spring break during WMC. I will make it out to Cali at some point, if for nothing else then to meet some of you bluelighters out there on the West coast.

The music at Coachella alone should get you high enough to last through the weekend. :)

However, if you are looking for something more chemical oriented, move yourself into a crowd of your choice and enjoy the random contact high from the sweaty, dancing addict right next to you. That should also get you high enough to last through the weekend.
