Bypassing Mucinex DM Bi-Layer Time Release

I have twenty 30mg DXM + 600mg Guaifenesin Mucinex DM bi-layer tablets. I usually take 60-120mg DXM with ~5mg Paxil, but these are time released and I want to release the DXM all at once to both get the full 'rush' (there is a relatively fast onset of euphoria for me, so I call it a rush) and reduce the duration because I can't sleep well on DXM.

Is this time-release due to a simple outer coating on the tablets, or is it in the binders, or worse... is it on a molecular level?

How can I get around it?



Also, another question, I'm very aware of the potential for serotonin syndrome. I have experienced it a while back, very mild, but it wasn't fun at all, not to mention the brain damage I may have caused (?). I had taken 60mg DXM + 10mg Paxil, but it was time released, and that night I woke up with a fever and thought I had caught the flu from my family. The next morning, it was completely gone. Was this likely serotonin syndrome?
 
Why not just go to the drug store and grab a bottle of robo gels or delsym or something. Just get a product that contains ONLY dxm and you won't have to worry about fucking around with some time release shit or the other shitting ingredients. DXM is cheap as tits.

The person who get's this for me only does like once every couple months. Wal-Mart doesn't allow me to buy it; it's almost like they are asking kids to steal it.

Anyways, that wasn't the question. I don't like non-helpful posts like yours. Don't be so condescending and just answer the freaking question. I know all about guaf and I know how much will make me puke, and how to inhibit puking.
 
Well look man, this site is based around harm-reduction. It goes against the moral fibers of bluelight, for me to recommend something as idiotic as wanting to use extended release dxm with guaf in it, in order to obtain the already shitty buzz DXM gives you. If you ask a stupid question you should expect a stupid answer.

How old are you? Even places that put the cough medicine behind the counter will see it to you with an ID.. If you are like 14 or something, either wait til you are older to start fucking with drugs, or get someone with an ID to buy it. I cannot believe there is not ONE place you can obtain some pure DXM.

And if you think I am being an asshole, well fine. But I honestly am only trying to look out for you, and give you the best answer in regards to harm reduction. If you didn't get the answer you wanted to hear, I am sorry, but you shouldn't have asked a stupid question. But I cannot sit here and condone what you are doing, and I am sure many will agree with me.

Not to mention you shouldn't even be combining paxil with DXM in the first place.
