Hi everyone,
I keep on seeing posts about people getting a slight euphoric-like buzz on coffee or caffeine pills.

One question though, I have a bottle of Excedrin with Caffeine and I had been taking 3 pills for a headache, but It seems to me that when taking this form of caffeine does not make me feel stimulated as compared to coffee. Actually, it made me kind of sleepy after a few hours.

Do I have to take a pure-form of caffeine to get that buzz-like euphoria?

Caffine as a drug is garbage.

It's only fun if you're completely naive to both stimulants and recreational drugs (a real stim, or a real rec drug will put caffine to shame to such an extent that you'll feel it's not worth burning in the fireplace for heat in the winter).

Caffeine in any form seems to do very little for me in terms of recreational use. Although, I'm a coffee addict with no chance of abstaining nonetheless. ;)

Many people claim that caffeine can have euphoric or recreational effects, and if that is the case then they are truly lucky--because I never get anything other than headaches with larger doses.

People I have spoken to on the subject recommend Gurana (specifically the root thereof); but my experiences with it have not been all that exciting, short of it being an interestingly tasty addition to coffee.

If your idea of recreational effects is a headache plus racing pulse and being awake all night, then caffeine will suit. There's no euphoria to be gained here though...

I wouldn't say caffeine produces a euphoria in a traditional sense, but my morning cocktail of 2 mg suboxone and a Mountain Dew Amp Lightning (so fucking tasty) on my way to work leaves me with a little bit of a glow to start my day. Not really a euphoria, but it makes me feel a little better than normal if I just take my subs, probably just because I'm a little more awake and ready to go about my day. Just steer clear of taking super high doses of caffeine as most of us learned in middle school, you will feel like shit. Just enough to get ya goin.....

I'm not a big soda/coffee drinker but I tried a "monster energy drink" for the first time while fairly drunk. Definitely picked my spirits up and woke me up, maybe caffeine is a good "enhancer" but I doubt just caf. would be very enjoyable.

When I don't drink caffeine for a while and ingest some, it gives a definite glow for a while , mainly a mood picker upper.

Don't try to get high off it though, anything over 200 mgs gets shitty. Get some real drugs!

makes me abit more alert and in tune with mild feeling of well being for a short peroid of time, if i over do it i get a headache and feel like shit.

Whenever I take caff I get headaches and twitches in doses over 200 mg (college students pulling all nighters sometimes do it. Ah, cramming...) which I'd really prefer not to do.

Get another stim, caffeine is only good in low doses as a pick me up.

This post made me LOL. I remember drinking massive amounts of caffeine when I was 16 and getting dizzy and shit. An AMP (which has 408mg of caffeine) used to make me feel pretty good, but now my tolerance is so high it's not even funny. I only use caffeine now in large amounts in an attempt to stay awake when I need to. But that's cause I don'th ave other drugs to stay up.

Caffeine is great potentiator to opiates...I believe it affects tyrosine hydroxylase to produce more L-dopa...

And I had a friend with bipolar I and he swore that a cup of coffee would get him tweaking, followed by a horrible comedown.

If you don't have much tolerance to it, you can get a nice dopamine high for a couple of hours. If I go a couple of weeks without it and drink a couple of cups of coffee on an empty stomach, it feels quite nice aside from the upset stomach and mild tweaking.

if youve never taken a stim before you might get a mellow buzz but thats as far as it goes.
if you ever have taken any type of stim, it will put caffeine to shame, you wont feel any different, unless you take lots which will make you sick, headaches, jittery, unable to sit still (not in a good way).
if your new to stims and caffeine you might get a slight buzz yes, but nothing really good here..

Dude, caffeine in a pretty nice dose will fuck you up, not in the good way.
You gotta have something to smooth it out, like a high dose of l-carnitine, or you are gonna be a shaky stroked out mess.

If you drink a strong coffee, you can get reallyy nice euphoria, or even a smaller scale but nonetheless pleasant buzz. You can build tolerance to it though, just like any drug. But coffee is a great stimulant. I've had two pretty strong coffees, few hours apart, and gotten massively euphoric high.

Coffee only works for me in moderate to low doses, and only once every 3-5 days or more.

You have a tolerance to caffeine that's why the caffeine pills or Excedrin pills don't give you the normal effects. Or if caffeine makes you sleepy instead of alert or hyper it does not affect you the way it does most people. Excellent fresh roasted coffee beans that are ground and made with either a French Press, or pour over filter can give you some euphoria and stimulation.
