I have heard these two chemicals are good for combinations, would it be safe the mix the two together? or should it be avoided? Some info would be very much appreciated.

I'm not sure, but the usual warnings about mixing stimulants with more stimulants applies.

what if you took smaller doses of each? would you not get the full effects as desired?

Mixing them is OK, though take the dosages into account - take half your normal dose of each (if not less), and then dose upwards from there.
