Misc butylene glycol = 1,3-Butanediol ?

What are the similarities of Butylene glycol and BDO. Could it be extracted and consumed with effects similar to GHB and GBL?

BDO is 1,4-butanediol and is a prodrug of GHB. The butylene glycol in soaps and deodorants is an isomer of this, but is not the same compound.

When I was younger(about 18 ), I had the same misconception, I thought that butylene glycol was same as BDO. So I tried eating soap(!) that contains butylene glycol to get high. That only made me sick to my stomach. I've heard of some kids being taken hospital after doing the same thing...
