BUTTONS / PEYOTE ~~ NooB ....

Hey Everyone
I am in NC have a nice Peyote plant.Has about 30 buttons. Its main mother is approx 8 yrs old
I just want to try to get correct info on how long buttons need to be on the plant and then I know cut diagonal - but do you dry in a bag for proper storage so to speak
anyway also where to post? DOH sorry noob told ya '

Trouts notes on sacred cacti said peyote buttons were pretty much inactive till they got upwards of 10-15 years old. I'd give it another decade yet.

The way you've described it sounds more like a caespitosa than a williliamsii...

And i'm fairly sure caespitosa isn't active
