Buspirone

I noticed that there wasn't much information on Buspirone [BuSpar] on this site, and no trip reports. So I decided to write one.

Tonight I was looking for something to do, and I had spare time [ first off, I already know that's a bad start to a trip report, so don't remind me ] so I saw that my friend had some BuSpar, I grabbed two pills then went to my house.

When I got home I took one at 6:00 and I felt a mood lift and a pleasent feeling around a half hour later [ it was pretty pleasent ].

But I desided to up the dose, without researching first. I took another pill, totaling 30mg. Then I started getting these electric shock feelings in my body, and my nerve endings would just pulse. I panicked just a bit, I went to Erowid and BlueLight and looked it up, and saw that 30mg at once could be an overdose. [ This wasn't too long after I dosed the second pill, so I went into the bathroom and tried to purge it out ( it didn't work ) ]. So I figured that since I'm a big guy to begin with [ around 99kg ~ 220lbs ] I thought that the OD level would be a little higher for me, so I just tried to relax.

Ironically anti-anxiety medicine made me anxious .

Well it's three hours later now, and I'm still getting light shocks.

Let this be a warning post to people who want to take BuSpar for a high.
Which most of you won't. I was just stupid for once.

ive never heard a first-hand account of buspirone abuse--are you certain the "mood lift" wasnt placebo? im rx'd these and ive taken them for weeks at a time in the ~15mg dosage and never felt a thing...

ive got some sitting here, and your experience killed whatever little bit of curiousity might have ever driven me to try it recreationally.

It may have been placebo but usually I get a slight placebo effect really close to popping the pill, which I did, but then I felt an even higher lift around 35 - 45mins later.

Update:

So there are some advantages to that one time of irresponsible use of BuSpar.

1. I've been less stressed the past few days [ whereas before I was pretty stressed about everything ]

2. There are stronger auras around lights [ even stronger than after taking ecstasy, which is sooo cool ]

but, I've had some short term memory disruption, which is annoying.

Are you sure you searched?

I have a trip report for this shit and I describe all the effects you mentioned and more bad ones.

I also make an effort not to leave any buspar releated thread without pointing out how disgusting it is.

Wtf is up these days? there are like 4 threads this week with people trying to use this poison recreationally! I say.. this drug seems to have high abuse potential and should be put in the highest schedule!

Yeah, buspar is all around bad news. A bunch of idiots try to pawn it off around here as xanax, and it makes me laugh. No rec. value at all.

My i got ripped off today, buspar instead of xanax. I looked right at the pills and told my girlfriend to go return them before her "friend" took off. Well, I watched her walk over there and the car speed off. I knew that they weren't bars, i had a 99% certainty that they were fucking buspar (i couldn't quite remember what the pics of buspar looked like, but the fact that they were triple-scored instead of quad-scored was a HUGE hint).

I was considering trying to take one anyway, but i figured I'd check the web first. I haven't heard a single nice thing anyone had to say about this SHit.
I'll watch what happens to my GF after taking 15mg pill.
