ok first I am NOT looking for a hook up or person i am looking for an open venue (bar or club) during the week that is nice to hang out at. I am an older bluelighter (35+) but don't wanna be stuck in my hotel for the week again. I'm just looking for a club or bar that is cool to hang out at for a few hours.. any ideas? oh i'll be about 40 miles east of the loop, if that helps

yeah if your not in the city how about saying where it is ytour gonna be staying?

40mils is kinda out there, and i dont thikn you meant eat cause like they said thats the lake but west 40miles is like aurora?

Ive got a good friend thats a v.i.p. host at promo7even and proof. I dont know what kinda clubs those are but he seems to have fine bitches around 24/7 and parties every weekend.

i never heard of promo7..i dont think thats a club

and proof, ive never been to i know it used to be "level" but im sure it will change again in the next few months...what i do know is its more on the upscale side so of course dress code is serious like everyother place on rush, meaning your shoes will get you tossed outta line and if your ugly, your shoes or shirt or pants might still gedt you tossed outta line even though the dude infront of you was dressed way worse but pulled up in a benz..um being that its the gold coast everythign is way over priced but thats expected since half the people in the place will be tourists(well maybe not so much in the winter)...um i assume they play the normal commercial house and some hip-pop like level did and most other places, if its like the other clubs in the area, the girl who says she 21 is really 18-19 and the one that says she 26 is prolly 30..i guess try anbd get plugged with a promoter and go that night if possible or expect to pay $10 for a vodka tonic and $15-20 for a shot of patron

ahh good ol chicago, gotta love it

yea hes on the upscale side of things id say. Lives on Lakeshore dr. is a model/personal trainer/v.i.p. host. Hes always in some fly jacket and pants and shit when he goes out. I think promo7even might be the promotion company he works for but they do shit for places like proof/level/mid/griffin places like that.

come on, chicago is where house music was born.. you guys should have 5000 clubs and warehouses to suggest ;p

u would think so huh? I'm not gonna get all dressed up to go out and sweat. not on my agenda. that said any other ideas?

Wendy check out downtown Naperville there are alot of drinking holes around there. Theres a great place to eat called Heaven on Seven.

I'd go for downtown Naperville, imo. Clubs like mid, griffin, level, etc are all overpriced places to go for the 21-25 crowd. Downtown Naperville has a better "feel" for older people.

D'town N'ville is relatively class except for Jimmy's. That's just the North Central college crowd and local street-bike d'bags. If you do go into the city, go to Buddy Guy's Legends or if you're looking for good late night stuff, try Green Mill; it's a great jazz spot.

i'm thinking u are right naperville is so small though any of those places ok from Mon-Thurs? oh and this is mike wendy not posting this time

downtown naperville like everyone said is your best best..also if your lookin for somethign else to do like during the day

theres oak brook mall like 15miles up I88 east towards chicago...oak brook as an outdoor mall but one of the more upscale malls in the the state..its got the nordstoms and neiman marcus and all the main stores that are at the outlet mall like they got a Louie V and bcbg and tiffanys, really everything you can think of..basically its like hittin up michigan ave downtown but not having to deal with the tourists and the no parking and everythign else..not to mention great food places like maggianaos and cheesecake factory among other real nice restuants

then about 10miles west on I88 there is the Premium Outlet malls and if you have ever been to the ones in orlando florida its liket he same with like... Ann Taylor, Banana Republic, Calvin Klein, Coach, Elie Tahari, Gap Outlet, Giorgio Armani, J.Crew, Kenneth Cole, Lacoste, Nike, Polo Ralph Lauren, Salvatore Ferragamo, Sony, Theory, Vera Bradley and like 100 other stores

too bad you didnt make the trip before christmas, then again maybe its better cause you dont have to buy anything for anyone but yourself

well i'll be in one building all day till 5 so... no shopping for me. i'll try downtown naperville thanks for the ideas guys!

let us know where and what you did I'm interested. also you could check out downtown Aurora although its crummier then Naperville they've got a casino there which I usually enjoy whenever I go.
