Painful burning in temple area on side of head Post snorting Oxy IR"?

Hey guys,

As the title suggests I got a major rush and then extreme burning sensation when I snorted my late night Pain Meds. I was taking all my meds orally as prescribed but I've found insufflation of 1 or 2 of my 6 daily allotted Roxycodone allows me to get a tiny bit of enjoyment of my meds (which are completely legitimate and I never take more than the 6 each day because I am dispensed meds daily through my family) while still getting the obvious necessity of some analgesia from multiple spinal fusions and related back issues.

Anyways, just let me know if the burning sensation is normal as I've very rarely railed Roxys or OG OC so any heads up would be enormously appreciated. (The pills are the Actavis brand small blue pill with an "A" 215 mark...

Thanks:D

I would venture to say that this is normal in that your sinus cavity does extend to that area. Maybe your sinuses are a little inflamed and insufflating the powder irritated them further. I would recommend using a saline solution and maybe a neti pot and irrigating your sinus. If it really really burns, persists or you get a bad pain in that area, that would not be normal IMO...

yes it is most likely your sinuses that are inflamed/irritated as there are a lot of binders and gunk mixed into the tablets which can cause agonizing pain - i've experienced it first hand from snorting OC's and oxynorms.

i can also get that temple like headache when i've taken too much oxy orally, as i'm experiencing this morning after having a break from it! - perhaps the sudden surge of a large amount of the drug also could have caused it.

Try a neti pot. Use warm saline solution or make your own using distilled water. Make sure it is warm and don't skip the salt or it will burn like a mother.

Man I told you not to snort your fucking roxis and look at you now. tsk tsk. At least put it into liquid solution like we talked about, so you're not inhaling fine particles into your lungs.

Yes you were right and I was wrong. Are you satisfied?:p
