Bupropion(Wellbutrin) & l-tyrosine

I am currently taking Wellbutrin XR daily for ADHD and chronic fatigue, is safe to take l-tyrosine(a dopamine precursor) with Wellbutrin(a dopamine reuptake inhibitor)?

Would it give it a boost, be dangerous, or not doing anything at all?

ah sorry scratch that as it doesn't include the l-tyrosine. i would check with your doctor.

Ive taken this combo and i have had results in the L-tyrosine giving me a lift but since i have bipolar it can drive me right into batshit crazy get out the anti-psychotics mania. I felt like someone perpetually spun (not in a good, productive or any pleasant way) on this combo after awile.

I would say to stay clear of it if you have any history of mania at all and to keep the dose low.

i dont think there would be any serious interactions but start with a low dose just to be safe

I went ahead and did it, there was a "boost" of some sort but nothing to write home about.
