so im seeing a pshyc to treat my adhd depression and anxiety is this a safe combo to function daily and i talk about
im suggesting bubropion because it treats bot add and depression and it also as no effect on weight..im a little obsessed wit it so taking something that will make me gain weigt is out of the question
also i am suggesting eiter klonopin or xanax to sleep not the two of them together just one of them
sleep excercise socialize and go to scool
also what should i tell the doctor to prescribe tis to me-
i am currently taking toronjil tea and valerian root along wit tese capsules named triphala and gastheel all of them herbs and homeopathy to treat anxiety and some stomach issues
is this gonna play a role wit the other meds' perhaps i will need to stop taking the anxiety herbs-
i would appreciate your advice
what is the doc gonna think

Your sentence structure is terrible. Xanax and Klonopin are unlikely to be given as first line defenses, they will probably just say have Ritalin and Zoloft and see how that goes. Zoloft has almost no weight gain issues, and Ritalin is more likely to be given for ADHD. Welbutrin isn't normally prescribed from what I see.

Bupropion will likely help with the depression, and adhd, but I don't know if the psych will want you suggesting it off the bat. They like to try SSRI's/SNRI's first, generally. The bupropion could make your anxiety a little worse, but I wouldn't think by much. If the psych is willing to prescribe benzos, would you want them as needed or to be taken daily? Xanax is a good drug to take as needed, with quick onset, and shorter duration of effects. Klonopin lasts longer, but still could be taken as needed I suppose. I take benzos daily, but it wasn't something I wanted to do originally. A benzo habit can be a bitch to get rid of. If you feel you must be on a benzo daily, try something light, but long acting like Valium. That is my advice. Yes, you would have to adjust your herbs I would think, but I don't know for sure.

are you sure zoloft doesnt cause weight gain so wy wouldnt te doc prescribe wellbutrin,,i heard it is used for both depression and add
and i doubt he will prescribe to stimulants combined as ritalin and zoloft togeter could cause serotonin syndrome

i guess iw ould like to take te benzos as needed plus my parents will control the meds since tey dont trust me

i am also a very spiritual person and i am in contact with god..i am scared ssris or snris will detac me from my emotions

Well, doctors tend to like starting with SSRI's/SNRI's before things like bupropion. It is somewhat stimulant like, and just not what they tend to start with. You could suggest it, but I don't know if they will like you doing that, but I don't really see the harm if you explain the reasons. The best benzo as needed for anxiety would probably be Xanax. Hits hard, does the job well, and doesn't last for too long. Any benzo would work though.

so u think if i explain the reasons they would let me stick with stimulants

I think if you explain you want to be on bupropion for exsisting ADHD and depression, and why you don't want to be on the other anti-depressants, the psych might prescribe it. It is stimulant-like in some respects, but isn't like other stimulants.

Well it isn't an amphetamine first of all. I was on this exact combo for a while (Wellbutrin + Klonopin). The wellbutrin made my anxiety 35 times worse, and did nothing for my depression. This basically meant I was taking 3 times as much klonopin throughout the day just to ward off the severe anxiety I was experiencing. Needless to say I got rid of that shit real fucking quick.

Would you mind using spellcheck? I wouldn't suggest any stimulants for your problem, maybe Intuiv or whatever they rebranded, but any stimulant will make your anxiety worst.

This sort of thing is not allowed on BL, we can't tell you what to say to a doctor to get prescriptions. Also, how old are you? If your parents are controlling the meds, are you under 18? You seem to be very dead set on taking medications for your issues, have you ever been on any before? It's questionable to start someone on them very young. Also, things like xanax and even wellbutrin are NOT something I'd think they'd prescribe on day 1. I ended up with both of those things at some point (I really, really, REALLY hate wellbutrin and how it made me feel) but I had tried several other things (SSRIs, z-drugs) before those were even considered.

Zoloft has a small incidence of people gaining weight. And as far as SSRI's and ritalin being prescribed together, it happens. Yes, there is a risk for serotonin syndrome, but not a large enough one for your doc to not consider prescribing it.. It rarely happens, and u just need to start with a lower dose of the SSRI. Especially when you are co-morbid with depression/anxiety, SSRI's are usually always the first line treatment.

Your doc needs to get the depression and anxiety under control first before he starts messing around with any add/adhd meds. He'll probably start u off with the SSRI's, which aren't too bad for weight gain. Stay away from paxil, remeron, trazadone, TCA's, and MAOI's. Effexor or the newer Pristiq may be good alternatives if you get too much anxiety from bupropion and they both show weight loss as a more prominent side effect than weight gain.

The only bad thing is that most of the SSRI drugs aren't FDA approved for kids under 18 and they are black labeled due to an increased risk for suicide.
Also, no doctor in their right mind is going to start a teenager on a daily regimen of benzos, especially when you haven't tried any of the SSRI drugs.

good luck.

im not a teenafer well on my last teen 19 my parents just dont trust me with the meds so the doc diagnosed add comorbid with anxiety and only a bit of depression and i am only being treated for anxiety now klonopin drops minimal dose..not sure but my mom gives 3 twice adya and 4 at night didnt really take tem today cuz i decided to go out and drink..so im gonna get some more tests with a neurologist so they can make the fulll add diagnose and some other pshycological tests the doc is quite dazed with me..aa i could be an odd case
so the doc suggested concerta for add in the future along with lexapro for anxiety and depression,,,,not sure if lexapro as weight side effects and well klonopin just for panic attacks and suc,,not taken daily or anything

If you like to drink I'd say no on the Wellbutrin, they don't go together. They're contraindicated but besides that you won't enjoy drinking at all anymore on Wellbutrin, which could be a good thing unless you're dead set on drinking anyway.

The best thing to do is let the doc do their thing and see what they suggest, the problem is they usually suggest an SSRI of some sort, or maybe Effexor or Wellbutrin.

Anyway, I was on Wellbutrin for over a year and it worked great for the first six months or so, then it kinda fizzled out for me. Still, the best antidepressant I've ever been on, it was actually amazing how much it helped when I was put on it.

If you really do had ADHD they may try Wellbutrin or Strattera or some non stimulant med depending on the doc. I personally think the tried and true ADD stimulants work the best for actual ADD.

If you're going to take a benzo every day go for the Klonopin, if you have self control and only need them occasionally Xanax is great, however if you get addicted you get to meet Satan himself the second you run out and can't get more. Xanax is the crack of benzos imo, works great for people who can use it ONLY when needed.

Basically if you need meds Wellbutrin and a low dose of Klonopin can be perfect, just don't abuse drugs while taking them, Wellbutrin is a bit of a wildcard in how it effects people. If you really have bad ADD you may need the stims.

Good luck, it's a rollercoaster ride, I hope you're getting therapy too. Basically just communicate with your doc, tell them what you need, use them to get well and not to get high. When you get well you won't want to get high as much, at least in my experience.

I've been on Wellbutrin XL 300mg 1x a day for 5 years now. And I've been on Xanax 0.5mg 3x a day for 6 years.

Before being switched to Wellbutrin XL, I was on Zoloft 50mg 1x a day.

The reason I was switched is because Zoloft made me gain about 60 pounds in about 8 months. The other reason is that I felt more depressed than I did before taking the Zoloft.

For me, Wellbutrin XL + Xanax has been the best combo for depression & panic disorder. About 7 months after I started taking Wellbutrin XL instead of Zoloft, I lost all the weight I put on while on Zoloft.

That's the good stuff. There's some bad side effects too but I'm too lazy to type it up.

thanks for the info i will keep it in mind i also wonder wy the doc prescribed klonopin drops instead of pills...and do u think wellbutrin helps for add ive heard it does in mild cases tho

It is prescribed off label for ADD and also for recovering meth addicts.

It is mildly stimulating (increased concentration) so it might help mild cases.

it helps for add, but nowhere near as well as Adderall or one of the other amphetamines or Ritalin. Lots of docs are just hesitant to prescribe these meds even though they do work wonders when used correctly. If you need them, or think you need them and can't get them try someone else. My life changed drastically when I was finally prescribed Ritalin with the option to get a script for any of the others to try them out. I use Ritalin because I don't get as addicted to it and it works well.
