hello all. i am on the suboxone program and :three days ago i consumed one 2mg bar of xanax- nothing happened
had 2 yesterday with plenty of beer, once again, noooottthhhing
i am abit of a feind for these things and eat em like crazy but intermitenetly and have never been addicted to benzos.
im thinking i should give it a rest for a month or 2 MAYBE 3 even, cause this is starting to piss me off
 
not sure what you're expecting out of the xanax really. you're kind of playing with your own life considering youre taking bupe, xanax and yesterday you had "plenty of beer" with them too?

maybe you got duds. maybe that saved your life.

i used to be a recles bloke. having way too much hammer with way too many xaniesis. but now im not, im on the suboxone program

plenty of beer for doing xanies with ie 3-4 tops

No need to get so defensive man, it's good you're on the suboxone program but combining that with booze and xanax isn't a good idea, obviously.

Take a break from the benzo's, that's your best bet. I'm sure others here will agree.
 
Indeed. bupe is a strong opioid and mixing it with benzos and alcohol is very dangerous. I encourage you to cut out the benzos and the alcohol.
 
yeh sorry to get defensive synth, abit early in the morning and im abit pissed off cause my xanies arnt working! heh. look, i hardly drink at all these days. ive taken xanax with my suboxone many many times. i always start with a small amount of xanax and build up as a precaution. but cmon y'know? 4mg xanax and my regular(16ml) of bupe annnndd no effect. abit anoying
 
whenever i do bupe i usually notice i dont feel xanax as much… idk the reasoning behind it but its always kinda been like that with me. now on the other hand any other opiate i feel it twice as much. probaly something to do with half-agonists and full-agonists.

yeah i dont know your tolerance though? see for me i dont benzos often and really .5 to 1 mg is all i would ever really take. (normally im drinking beer with it too though) but on bupe i need about 2mg of xanax to normally feel .5-1mg effects.
 
yeh for me one bar usualy does the trick, if im feeling adventurous 2 bars. but im not fucked on 2 bars just pleasantly fucked. soo yeh might be the same case for me
 
yeh understandable. im always a careful kitty. i listen to my body. and love life a litttlle bit more than i love drugs. thanks for the help guys. much apreciated
 
It's ok mate, I just don't want to see ya end up dead. The three mixed together are very potent and bupe is actually a very potent opiate. You have to be careful when it comes to this stuff - it may seem less heavy but in reality it's a powerful opiate. I just didn't know what you were expecting out of the Xanax, and was surprised you didn't feel anything from that. Hence why I suggested they may be duds too. What's your normal tolerance to the stuff?

Be careful man. I'd say keep increasing by 0.5mg if you're adamant to take it, and use it sublingual. But in reality I suggest you don't mess around with the Xanax. If you're not feeling it at 2mg, you may never feel it or - or when it's too late and you've overdosed. Make a threshold limit say 4mg as well. Your inhibitions will continue to drop on the stuff and ya will just keep redosing to silly points.
 
i always take sublingual, ive been on suboxone for 6 months and i very much doubt there duds, as the bloke i got em off was off chops...but yeh i have a fair high tollerence. but have always in the past had wonderful times on xanies. so yeh its abit confusing. but ive got a very lovely lady whos with me who knows her shit. she'll look after me. its just so frustrating and now that i think about it its only since ive been on the suboxone program that ive had problems getting high on xanax. seems paradoxical but fuck who knows ey
 
Yeah maybe the subs are interfering with the Xanax mate. Bupe itself is kinda stimulating so the Xanax is fighting against that - which is pretty difficult. I'd say drop the Xanax for now if its really not giving you the effects you're after, cause you'll just have to a take a shitload and it will get dangerous. Unless ya can find the dose that works with the subs for you.
 
cheers bro. yeh if i cant find that today im giving the benzos a rest. im gunna end up in rehab to get off the bupe soon anyway so that should gimme a nice break from everything, and no daily clinic visits woot!
