Hello,
sorry if I'm creating double thread, I've searched for answer quite long and I couldn't find exactly what I want to know, so...
I have got 2 transdermal patches, both 20mg 35ug/h. I am opiate newbie (I haven't tried any opiate except tramadol) and I'm going to take bupe first time, my question is, can I get some really nice high off these two patches applied together? thanks for quick answer.

I have a bit of experience with butrans but 35mcg/hr? Wow, that's more than 1.5 the 20mcg/hr max butrans makes. Yes, they should get you high, maybe for days. I'd like to find out if the patches do have any recreational potential especially for opiate naive users (I used for maintenance) so please report back if you go ahead with it.

I would also recommend only using one for right now. Give it a good 12 hours to kick in, if that doesn't do the trick, maybe consider applying the 2nd one. While bupe does have a ceiling effect on OD symptoms, there's still no need to overdo it.

Yeah if your opiate naive you should probably get high as shit, though ive never tried transdermal patches, and question how good transdermal absorption is. Buprenorphine is active in the micrograms though so you'll probably get nice and fucked up

While bupe does have a ceiling effect on OD symptoms, there's still no need to overdo it.

Just wanted to emphasize this - without combining it with other CNS depressants or preexisting medical problems, it's nearly impossible to die from overdose on buprenorphine but that doesn't mean you won't be puking for hours straight if you overdo it without a tolerance. As mentioned, it takes a LONG time for transdermal drugs to reach peak plasma concentrations so don't just wait an hour and slap another on because you aren't high yet.

I tried the bupe patches for about a month. I didn't get any recreational value out of them. I found transdermal bupe to be nothing great. Transdermal fent isn't much better in my opinion. Patches aren't the way to go if you're looking to get high. They last forever and it's all just fuzz.

I actually would imagine taking a fentanyl patch transdermally wouldn't be that different from taking a buprenorphine patch, if you're opiate naive. I'm pretty sure that in microgram dosages, buprenorphine is actually stronger than fentanyl, to a certain point. The only way fentanyl ever got me high was by evaporating the gel and sniffing the residue, and I got really fucked up. IMO, fentanyl is not that euphoric though, it never gave me the warmth like oxy, hydro, and heroin due, sorta just numbed me out.

yeah i wouldn't take both, like people are saying it probably won't be dangerous, but puking your guts out for days doesn't sound fun
