Buprenorphine or Dihydrocodeine

most likely DHC, i haven't tried it due to the fact that i live in america and it is not produced here.

if you have no tolerance then it really doesn't matter...you'd be getting fucked up either way lol.

codeine and DHC are supposed to be basically the same, DHC is x2 strong than codeine.

bupe is a partial agonist which means its not a full opiate (i think, correct me if im wrong).

IMO go for the DHC. a good dose of codeine is 200-400mg (350-450mg being a ceiling dose) but there is no ceiling dose on DHC i believe.

so try around 100-200 mgs, maybe 40-60mgs if it's your first time.

^ Mostly +1 (bupe is a partial agonist, only partially activates opioid receptors whereas DHC, codeine, morphine, etc... are full agonists).

Also basic questions like this belong in Basic Drug Discussion.

No problems. :D

I haven't used bupe, but from my experience with DHC and what I've read about bupe, you will find DHC more recreational probably.

"Safer" in terms of having a good time, but the fact that it is a full agonist without a ceiling dose means that OD is possible. You really cant OD on bupe correct (seeing as its a partial agonist, not a full one)?

^ Yes you can OD, it is more difficult then DHC but in an opioid naive person taking a fair bit it can be dangerous and unlike DHC, naltrexone won't pull you out so well.

But yeah, I was talking more about the fun vs. vomiting, etc... problems.

While I definitely enjoy the ultra-clean feeling of bupe, as well as its uber duration of effect, I would take the DHC. If you either A) have a nice antihistamine like promethazine to boost the shit out of it and counter the side effects (ITCHIES...) of DHC, or B) can stand / arent raped by the side effects of it, DHC has a very euphoric, not so "heavy" high to it. Some like codeine a lot more than others however...

It would be subjective to an extent but I believe more people would enjoy DHC more. Personally I find codeine more recreational than DHC but that is just me. I have never tried bupe but read many times over it isn't recreational. I don't think either of these drugs meet half the potential of the best opiates out there.

DHC is only useful for pain relief and staving of withdrawals for me, whereas I agree with Captain.H on the buprenorphine front. It provides a wonderful, clean sort of high. Whereas DHC is nauseating, itchy and annoying IMO.

Dihydrocodeine gives one hell of a kick when you're off the opiates for a week or two. It's called Rikodeine in Australia, and is available OTC (19 mg per 10 ml, comes in 200 ml bottles).

I have never taken bupe as an opiate naive individual, but IMHO, it is hands-down, the shittiest opiate ever. No real euphoria (for me at least) and hard as shit to get off of if you have been on it for any length of time. Plus, in my experience, once you have been on bupe maintenance long-term, it takes about three months of abstinence before you will feel close to normal and experience full-blown euphoria from a full agonist. Add to that the months-long, drawn out, enervating, crushingly depressive withdrawal, and you have a formula for worst opiate ever. Methadone sucks too, but at least it is a full aggy and gives you a nice glow.

DHC is not bad at all. ~240mg + 2 or so beers gets me feeling very nice. I happen to be one that enjoys codeine (or at least I did before my tolly got out of control).
