Opioids Buprenorphine levels in urine test... Confused...

As a preface, my doctor runs a very small private practice and always has slots open for new Sub patients because I know I may (understandably) be judged for taking up space.

In a nutshell, I'm scripted Subutex but haven't used it in almost two months and instead have been using Kratom. I have an appointment with my Sub doc in 3 days and want to keep my scrip, so I was going to discontinue the Kratom and take a small dose of Sub for a couple of days before my appointment just in case he wants me to do a urine test. Do they just want to see if the Buprenorphine (or norbuprenorphine, which I believe it converts to) is in your system or will they be able to tell that there isn't much built up in my system? If that makes sense.

As for the Kratom, I have no idea if they test for it these days and if they do, I'll deal with whatever happens. I know nobody cares but my leftover Subs do not get sold or even given to friends, I'm leaving somewhere next year where it will be virtually impossible to get Subs and want to be able to bring a decent amount with me.

They say that to scare u into taking the prescRibed amount.. I have always known sub clinics to say they test levels, but have never known a single friend (and most of them take only 1/8 of what they're prescribed) to have their script taken away, or even the doctors to say anything to them like youre not taking enough etc... as for the other question, Idk how long kratom stays in your system but if you think it will show up, your best bet is to give a friend a subutex and take their pee...
 
It's against rules to tell you how to break the law....

As far as drug test go, it always depends on metabolism, weight, etc. Some people can hold meds in their system for a few months, some only a few days.

I'd suggest taking the bupe more than a few days, as some test do test for levels in your system.

I think you'll be fine if you take it just a few days before as you'd like to. Most doctors do just the pos/neg test and don't test the levels -- mine does and if there's any suspicion or particular need he will send it for further testing (happened to me one time when a result was difficult to determine -- sucked...) but yeah you'll likely be fine. Most sub dr's are more concerned about opiates coming up negative than bupe coming up positive (though if they test for it and you come up negative I think that would be bad ofc..)
 
urine tests can check levels of drugs as well as presence, if they see a widely different amount in your piss despite prescription not changing they may ask questions.

we don't allow drug testing questions though
