Opioids Buprenorphine Injection

I’m thinking about trying Sublocade or Brixadi to taper off of kratom and to help with cravings moving forward. I’d like to hear from anybody with buprenorphine injection experience.

definetely just taper the kratom.....lots of people dont realize how potent buprenorphine really is.

I also wouldn’t recommend going on an injectable form of bupe, that will be far too strong. I went to rehab a few years ago (was doing 50+ grams of kratom a day) and they put me on 2mg (Suboxone) twice a day and I was nodding out the whole time (it was nice but too much). My recommendation would be to find a provider willing to help you taper off with suboxone or another sublingual form of it. You should only need about 0.5 - 1mg twice a day maximum to get stable. Then, you can work with your provider to wean off. This shouldn’t take any longer than a month as you don’t want to get hooked on the bupe. From my experience this is a much more gentle detox.

Brixadi shot does not last the full week (or month if you opt for monthly) that the manufacturer claims, just fyi.... I second everything everyone else is telling you though.

I know we discussed this before, and as I said the best thing to do would be to just quit kratom now before you have a dependency. If you choose to quit later then you are choosing to become addicted to the substance when you could otherwise just give it up and suffer for a week or so.

Every passing day that you continue using is just compounding the problem you are developing. I also said it was up to you how you feel the best way to go about enjoying your holidays will be though as well, but I suppose it was wishful thinking to suggest someone in the process of developing a habit to quit while they were/are ahead lol

I know it’s definitely a strong medication i used to take 16mg a day 8mg x 2

Good to know regarding the duration of the shot, my doc said if i do get it he would also prescribe me oral if it loses potency so thats an option as well
