I'd like to try this combination on the weekend, but I first I have a few questions about it for the sake of harm reduction. My experience with pregabalin is quite extensive. I've been using it for a year and a half, but I don't have a tolerance because I only use it a maximum of four times per month, and usually less. I have tried it at doses as high as 3600 mg (ridiculous, I know). The most I take now is 1500 mg.
I have less experience with buprenorphine. I've only done it a handful of times, and the highest dose I took was 1 mg in a day. I have no opiate tolerance, and I've read that less is more with bupe, so I was trying to keep my doses low. The combos that I have tried with the bupe are clonazepam (at 1 mg), which I don't really have a tolerance to, and alcohol (no tolerance there either). When I did it with clonazepam, I took the bupe in the morning, and the clonazepam in the evening, making the effects stronger than they had been all day. When I did it with alcohol, I had some drinks the day after taking the bupe, and I just got a bit more drunk than usual.
Now, when I combine this with pregabalin I'd like to do them both in the same day, I'll probably dose them at the same time or take the PGN a little bit later. I'd like to take between 450 and 750 mg of PGN, with between 0.25 and 1 mg of bupe. Does anybody have experience with this combo at any dosage? I'd think the safest way to do this is in increments, by taking 150 mg of PGN at a time and 0.25 mg of bupe at a time, and gauging my reaction. That way I could just stop dosing when I get where I want to be.
My biggest concern is the stages of the pregabalin high. For me, I find the come up to be rather invigorating, stimulating even, and then it slowly transitions into a warm, sleepy and relaxed state at the end. The thing that worries me slightly is that at higher doses of PGN, I fall into such a deep sleep at the end that I can sleep even in ridiculous conditions: In chairs, with bright lights on in the room, and with music playing at a fairly high volume. At high enough doses, people haven't been able to wake me up, but my heart rate and breathing have always seemed normal to them, and I have always woken up the next morning. This kind of deep sleep never happens if I take PGN on its own and dose 1200 mg or less. I'm just unsure if taking it in combination with bupe could induce this kind of deep sleep even though I'll be keeping the PGN at 750 mg or less, and the bupe at 1 mg or less. Basically, I don't want to reach the somnolent stage of the PGN high and get way more sedated than I was earlier in the course of effects, possibly even dangerously sedated.
It will be possible for me to check my blood pressure throughout the day, which will give me an objective measure of the extent to which the combination is influencing my body. I will also be consuming a bit of tobacco and cannabis with the combo (as usual, haha).
Does anyone have advice for me? Should I keep the doses lower, or what?
