I have searched everywhere and can not find anything on this. If someone took around 4mg of bupe as a one time dose, how long would it take for methadone to be felt?

Thanks for the quick reply. At t+24hrs would the dose need to be increased to get the same effects? If so then how much?

It is my understanding that only full agonist to bupe would produce precip w/d's. I am talking about going from bupe to methadone. 30-40 mg would be a usual dose of methadone.

i would wait longer... risking precipitated W/D def more than 24 hours IMO

precipitated withdrawals would occur when going from methadone to buprenorphine too quickly, not buprenorphine to methadone. If you usually take 30-40mg Methadone and want to switch 24 hours after your last dose of bupe and want to feel the full effects that you usually do than try 50mg.

I appreciate the advice. I tried searching for an answer but all the other discussions usually pertained to much larger doses and chronic dosing while my question was for one time 4mg bupe dose. Thanks again.
