Bupe BUPE still blocking kratom effects?

I have taken BUPE for 6 months and i just tapered off of them a little while ago. I have now been off of them for 8 days, and I'm still not getting any effect from kratom, accept for a minor glow and the nausea. Poppy pod tea is not working for me either. Is this normal, or is something wrong here?
 
If you were on bupe maintenance for 6 months, it is quite possible for your tolerance to still be raised substantially for quite some time even after quitting. Tolerance will never return to normal probably. It will go way back down, but 8 days is far from long enough to wait for your tolerance to go down. I would give it at least 1 month + to get good effects off of low dose opiates.

Also, it is quite possible that your kratom, and poppy pods are of poor quality. Have you attempted to use other opiates such has oxycodone or hydrocodone, since you quit? I am not condoning relapsing on other opiates, but at least you know the quality of pills and would be able to gauge where your tolerance is at right now.
 
yea thanks for the advice. no, i haven't used any other opioids since I got off subutex, but I hear that if you take a strong agonist like H or Fentanyl, etc. it will clear out any remaining BUPE left on your receptors. However, I am trying to avoid using opiates alltogether, and am trying to use Kratom as a good alternative, even though it may not be comparatively as strong.
