the dr i know of that accepts medicaid has a waiting list of 3 weeks.

i have NO idea how to find bupe dr's that accept medicaid. the samsha bupe physician locator lists drs that do NOT take it. i have a kid in my class who has a dr that does, thats the only way i found out. even naabt.org wont respond.

im trying to call the medicaid hotline but they are no help either, even in the providers booklet from them there is NOThing listed for substance abuse.

i seriously need help.

i am in ny.

she wont even put my name on it until 3 weeks. im just going to keep calling back. also i will trying using a professional courtesy, as my pops is an md.

your pops is an MD, as in doctor? just ask him.

well idk if your dad would like to put the word out... "hey my sons an opiate fiend, can you ask around what suboxone doctors use medicaid?" hahalol, im just playing man just a joke

you mine as well save up 150$ for a doctor apt. some can run you 60-90$ if you call around.
but then again the script itself is like 100$ for 20#

im not paying for a bupe dr. fuck that shit. i DONT HAVE any money. i have a month or two worth of pills i got from india. im using them to cover me while i find a dr that accepts medicaid. i just have no fucking clue where to start. the one i found that does was by word of mouth. not listed in samsha or naabt at all. i dont understand how im supposed to find them.

^lol have you found any

most drs dont like using insurance because of the money loss they experience.....fucking fruad bitches ruined it. (as in people who claim money from insurance companies and actuall get it, now everything is monitered and money isnt giving out in ful anymore)

I would try looking into out-patient rehab facilities that have a suboxone Dr. that works there. I was at a place that had a sub Dr come in once a week. The place charged me per visit, but did not pursue me for money I owed. I racked up a bill of like 200 something over 2 years, and sometimes they wouldn't let me goto a meeting unless I atleast gave them 10 dollars. But once I left, they never called me or tried collecting the money.

My therapist from my private sessions even told me that they would not go after me for the money. Oh btw, I was able to see the doctor pretty much right away. I did my intake a week after calling for the appointment, and then I was able to make the Dr. appointment at my intake. So from when I called to when I saw the Dr was either 2 or 3 weeks span.

So my suggestion would be to call up different guidance centers, or counseling centers and ask about seeing the Dr. The only thing with that is that they would like you to goto a meeting once a week to still be a patient there.

In this particular place you would go up to the main window if you had insurance, and take care of the bill there, or you would go up to the window next to it that was for medicaid/medicare patients.

I spent about 30 minutes the other day googling for a way to find sub docs that take medicaid in california after reading this thread, but could only find lists of doctors with no indication of what insurance they take.

It may be the case that you just need to get a solid list and spend an afternoon calling them all :(

found one. 45 mins a way though.

i have to realize that just because i have medicaid does not mean a damn thing. i have an hmo through it, so teh dr sees that i have private insurance. they have no way or need of knowing it has anything to do with medicaid. derr.

Congrats man! 45 minutes, one way, is a long way but at least you found one! : )

im hoping my buddy will network me through to a dr even closer. im just going to tell the dr i take an obscene amount so i have backup for months.

im also thinking about seeing if they will script me a benzo for just 1 week out of the month. im not hopeful.
