Opioids Bupe after withdrawal

Aight so I did search around through BL and on Google and can't find what im lookin for so ima ask you guys.
I just finished day 5 of no dope and the physical part of the withdrawal is for the most part done with, but my buddy just busted me down on some bupe and he said it wont restart my withdrawals but I figure i should ask you guys so I can prepare if im gunna have to withdrawal again.

Yes it can cause withdrawals again. Bupe is a very potent opiod, even if only a partial agonist. And the withdrawals from bupe can last 2 weeks or more, due to it's ~36 hour half-life, compared to heroins ~2-3 hour half-life. But if you only used it once the withdrawals might not be that bad.
 
so even tho i stopped for 5 days im still gunna have to withdrawal all over again? dam thats wack as fuck. Does the physical part of the withdrawal last 2 weeks?
 
BIGSherm... I would have to say your a bit mislead... bupe (and methadone) is standard practice in rehab clinics for a quick detox from your doc.. the fact that he used bupe 5 days after his last heroin use will actually rid the last of his lingering withdrawals.. bupe and shorter acting opiods work completely differently.. when you go into a detox clinic they will put you on a fast taper of either bupe or methadone and this gets rid of 90% of the physical withdrawals.. it in no way starts your withdrawal all over again.. I can vouch for this as I just did a 7 day quick detox from a year long heroin habbit using suboxone and I started as 6-8 mg on my first day.

In conclusion.. no your withdrawal will not start over again unless you use the bupe without tapering for longer than a week. Paws however will linger on for a while.. and the mental cravings.. well thats a whole different animal.

Word I hope your right anxiety haha im not tryin to go thought hell again might get some kratom if i do start to WD again.
 
if bupe (or methadone) just restarted your withdrawals then every rehab/detox clinic who uses them for detoxing patients would be out of business.

..as long as you do not abuse the bupe (using too much... or using too long) then i would say you have nothing to worry about.

..take a look at the bupe megathread.. or the bupe withdrawals thread..many users talk about using bupe in a clinic as detox..

the celebrity rehab thread has a few users who talk about stints in rehab where bupe was used for a detox from 3-7 days. The topic was sparked by Dr. Drew saying that suboxone should not be used longer than 3 days when Heidi Fleiss had stated she was on sub for a little while.. some users talked about how it is standard practice in clinics to use bupe as a fast acting detox agent... This would not be possible if all bupe did was restart your withdrawals..

Bupe does not act on the body the same as an opiate with a shorter half life. In order for you to start getting withdrawals from bupe use.. you need to use bupe for a certain duration of time.. Usually a week or longer... obviously the longer you use it.. the longer your kick will be.
