I've been switching back and forth from bup and heroin for yeArs now and been noticing the Bup not working like it use to. I'll be on H for a couple of weeks or longer and upon bup induction I've noticed that relief is minimal. and I've noticed that I havto wait a lot longer before induction than I use to. now days to avoid precipitated w/d I havto wait a full 48 hours. a couple of years ago I would only havto wait maybe 18 hours.
has anyone else have a similar expierence??

Welcome to Bluelight! :)

It's probably time to stay on bupe then taper off it

It's probably that you've gained a tolerance to both drugs and Bupe will stop working as well as it once did if you keep switching back and forth.

Yeah, I agree with cap, I'm like many of the peeps here, I have used and experimented, as well as abused, and everything invbetween.
For the last 3 years or so I have resided myself to opiates, at first they were like miracle pills, I was prescribed for a degenerative disk issue around L5, and L2, perc 5s were the first and worked up to ir15s and Oxymorphone 20s. Then to subs now back on 15s and opana 15s, I have saved subs for thimes I run out, and experimented with time frames of getting on and off of subs, when I can do so comfortably, and so forth. What I have discovered I you will find there is as wide of range on this topic as possible, people say so many different things and have so many difft opinions on this matter. Just don't take subs right after taking an opiate, or opioid, if it's a long acting med like methadone you will have to wait longer obviously because it's in your system longer, but with the shorter acting meds my experience had just been to wait till I start to feel a bit uncomfortable then what I do is take a small amt that way I won't be throwing myself in the ring all at one time and often I'll do this with the pill form of bup about two mgs. And often I feel much better right away, I've found sniffing is great in the pill form works quick and keeps me from getting I'll. I have noticed as I am back and forth on and off my body sometimes reacts better to the subs when I stay on them and I really have found between 4-8mgs is plenty, but everyone is geared just a bit differently. I have been fine taking subs 12 hrs after my last pill but that's with short acting meds and I only take like 2 mgs but then I can sleep and feel good I then wait about 8 more hours or more and take 2-4 mgs but I think with a low dose at first with a short acting opiate maybe could provide a bit of relief and be comfy, worked for me this past time I ran out and had about 4 days maybe 5 before I could refill oxycodone and Oxymorphone, so I took 2 mgs here and there got refills then take and wait for bup to get out of my system so I am able to feel other meds, are more effective for pain aseell
