That thread makes a mockery of the chronic pain experience! :p:p:p:p:p

I would like to have, here, an open discussion about why chronic pain management is all crammed into one thread.

please post here ideas how, on bluelight, chronic pain, and treatment for chronic pain, should be discussed.

That is the OD chronic pain thread. Healthy Living deals w/ chronic pain as well. TDS has had threads involved dealing with chronic pain, too.

OD has much more traffic than any other serious BL forum. OD is also more involved in serious life& death harm reduction issues than social forums. As a result, OD has focused on efficiency more than a lot of forums and mega-threads are a part of that. The mega-thread approach helps to decrease the same questions & info from being repeated over & over. Mega-threads do not indicate that the topic is unimportant. In fact an important topic would never get a mega-thread in a focus forum.

How would more threads help chronic pain sufferers more than a mega-thread in OD? Also dealing w/ chronic pain is more than just a pharmacological situation and a lot of aspects are better dealt with in other forums.
 
Usually the fact that you have to ask for a thread to not get closed is not a good sign... :\

If you have ideas/suggestions to change or improve the thread, you should start with your own and actually do them, rather than just making complaints. And anyway, this thread being here in support isnt likely to get you the audience you are looking for... so for now I'll shoot it on over to OD, but they still might close it if you dont come up with some of your own suggestions first, rather than just saying you dont like it.
