What stores carry bulk poppy seeds in California? Safeway has tiny bottles... Would cost plus world market?

Googling "bulk poppy seeds gave 60,000" matches. How many of those are in California you'll have to figure out for yourself.

That's what I'm talking about. I was hoping to hear from someone with experience. Someone who lives in California.

as far as i've noticed, places that sell bulk poppy seeds have started to wean them out. i don't live in the states myself, but that's how it's been up here in canada. try save-on foods, if you have 'em down there.

I have found and successfully purchased (and enjoyed) poppys and poppy seeds from one of many wonderful stores on ebay that sell them. This is not sourcing as the poppys and their seeds are for decorational purposes only ;)

Why else would they be legal to buy and sell on ebay =D

you can no longer buy pods on ebay

Weaksauce... Anyway. That is correct, I'm in search of proper flower arrangements. I make beautiful ones for my friends, and my own birthday just passed, devoid of flowers :(.
But it's hell trying to find anything around here. There's a Whole Foods Market about 20+ miles away which I'm thinking of visiting, to pick up some bulk seeds (which I hope they carry).
Other than that though... Who else carries pods? Would Michael's have them? Right now I'm trying to figure that out. There's a wholesale florist here in town, they may carry it (?). Then again it seems that you have to place an order with them for any product.
It's beginning to look like we'll have to order online... What do you guys think?

Even if you aren't planning to use them illegally, asking where to buy them is still breaking the rules.
