BULBERATOR QUESTIONS ANSWERED.

The picture depicted is the older version without the one way valves or basestation. The big one with the hanlde is not a one way valve, it is a normal valve..
The newer one (in the diagram) has valves that are virtually the same size as the piping on each cracker.. just with a little nob on them as well.
Sorry dont have a pic of the finishd bulberator.

Thanks for informative info about making own bulberators, and here was I about to purchase the real deal for $80! You've saved me heaps of money, which I can now buy more bulbs with!!!

I made my little cracker outta a pressure regulator for copper pipes (kinda looks like a heavy duty tap) Removed the little rubber thing a put a nail in it. Freakin awesome little thing, its seen many nangs in its short time!
 
Well, just made my own $10 cracker, but Idon't like it very much. It's big, it's ugly, it's heavy, it's clunky, and it's all greasy.
Basically, what metal are the parts of the original bulberator made from? I bought galvanised, but i think i could find something lighter. Also, I couldn't find anything the right size to hold bulbs. I used 3/4 inch fittings, but that was too big, and 1/2 inch was too small. Anyway, I think i'm gonna keep this one as my "at home" bulberator, and make a new improved lighter, snugly fitted "going out" bulberator.
Help........
 
None of you can compare the to the coolness of the Smooth Bulberator....

You all have it wrong, to get the best use of a bulb, just go to the nearest op shop and pick up an old Soda Syphon or Gas Creamer, cost you about $2 and you don't have to problem of freezing the crap out of your lips and you can load up to 3 cylinders into the canister. (Depending of the type of Soda Syphon, aluminium is the best, not tha glass ones, but the glass ones will still work)

Chem, Noc, have you not seen this thread yet? What is the Bulberator made of? I went to the hardware store and found
- Compression fittings
- Chrome fittings
- Brass fittings (look the best sofar)
- Some weird ones with bits of plastic in them, probably too complicated.
?????
 
Sweet, just constructed Hardicus's bulberator mkII. And i'm quite happy with it.
The one way valve is a bit chunky, but it works without it, and it can then be converted into the ultimate portable bulberator.

Or the ultimate. A waterless bong that uses nitrous gas to cool the smoke. From memory you load a charge of smoke, then crack a nang into it, then inhale both.
 
Now I've had a few thoughts on how to design such a contraption. The simplest machine I can think of would be something similar to a large metal syringe. At the top of the device you would have your cracker, and you cone piece. You would push the plunger up and load your cone. Light your cone and pull down on the syringe and this will load the smoke. Then shut of the cone piece and crack the nitrous. The bottom of the "syringe would have to have a sealing lip on it such that as the pressure inside of the machine increases it seals down preventing your nitrous escaping.
But I'm sure I can think of a more simpler design people can build at home.
And who said an engineering degree is a waste of time?

As is usually stated, NO2 is not what you want, it's N20,not that it matters. But i agree totally with your gf THC, it would be a tough decision.
...Why can't they make nitrous last longer? :(

Well doesnt make it last longer, but it damn well seems too! Yay for altered sense of time!
