Buffalo Family Files Civil Rights Complaint Against Police

Buffalo, N.Y.) Toshya Schaffer and James Moon say their home on O'Connell Avenue in Buffalo was so severely destroyed during two recent police drug raids that it is not livable.

Police raided the home in February looking for cocaine as part of Operation Heartbreaker. During the raid, officers killed the family pit-bull. And according to Toshya Schaffer, the house was heavily damaged by police looking for drugs.

When no drugs were found, and no charges filed, the family attorney, Earl Key, filed a "Notice of Claim" with the Buffalo Police. The family now has 90 days to file a lawsuit.

On Tuesday April 5th, police were back at the home again. This time with a search warrant for marijuana.

The family attorney says officers told the family, "This is what you get for going on the news."

On Friday, Toshya Schaffer, James Moon, and Attorney Earl Key showed Eyewitness News the damage that they say was caused by the most recent drug raid.

"This was not a search for drugs, this was punishment," says attorney Earl Key.

The family now wants the Department of Justice to look into the matter.

On Thursday, they filed a compliant with the FBI alleging that their civil rights have been violated.

Make sure you watch the video, they ripped their house in half, tore the fucking walls down and ripped out all the fixtures. All because they had the balls to contact the media about the first bullshit raid where they murdered their dog. (Buffalo cops LOVE to murder dogs by the way, I've personally heard them laugh about it being the first thing they 'get' to do when they kick a door in on a raid. "the niggers cut the dogs vocal cords so they can't bark!" = A peaceful dog not making a sound is even more deserving of some buck shot than a barking one)

(yes, the same Buffalo you just read about where we had the 'Largest Heroin Bust' in the cities history- and ALL the upper level dealers were related to current or ex upper level Buffalo kops.)

They will get a hefty ammount of money from the city with the bullshit the police pulled. They can even go after the Distric Attorney's office for filing the warrant. I hope the cops get FUCEKD.
 
District Attny's have prosecutorial immunity (which I'm pretty sure would fall under requesting warrants- assuming the DA's office had anything to do with it) meaning they're pretty much exempt unless they deceived the judge somehow.
 
What a disgrace! If they made a buy you think there would have been an arrest & charges. Something smells rotten. It sounds like it's a little too easy to get a search warrant and violate a persons rights.

I wonder what the settlement would be for something like this?

Why are most all search warrants for drugs people use for recreation?

This is a bullshit police state we live in.

They need to be knocking down doors looking for abducted children or murder weapons, not substances people use to have fun.
 
I'm also from Buffalo - they are the worst group of fucks I've ever had the displeasure of encountering
 
The fact that they cannot show any source of evidence in those "buys" should give the entire thing away right there. I just watched the vid.
