I'm considering doing buccal/oral (tea) Salvia in a sauna. I know Salvia sort of plays with temperature regulation a bit. First of all, it makes you sweat. Sometimes you get chilled, sometimes too hot.

Would doing Salvia in a sauna or sweat lodge screw around with someone's homeostasis/temp regulation? I respond quite strongly to buccal/oral salvia--I'm particularly sensitive to it.

Yes? Why? How?

I mean, I sort of get an intuitive sense but I'm wondering if there's more science behind it than I realize.

I don't think there is. Taking a drug that alters thermoregulation in a sauna, without a sitter, is probably not wise.
