bruising from shooting up?

Thank you BlueHues!

I don't share needles with people, nor do I share anything else (I've shared a cooker with somebody once, and they knew about my friend), and I haven't had sex with anyone without a condom since I started shooting up, so if you could drop the self-righteous-ness that's not even valid in this situation because you don't even know me and therefore what the fuck you're talking about, that would be so lovely. Thanks!!

^Yeah, it's pretty unbelievable that you're worried about having Hep C and you're looking for support and answers from "people who have a remote idea of what they're talking about", and you have some guy in Western Australia(or wherever), where you couldn't even hit LA with a long-range nuclear missile, telling you, in LA to get tested for everyone's sake! Like you're some scum-bag infecting his friends because of your negligence!

There wasn't even a reliable test for Hep C until 15 or so years ago....Millions of people got it in the '70s and had no clue because they never showed symptoms....They only found out decades later, and in the vasy majority of cases they didn't pass it on to anyone through sexual contact.

I wouldn't have sex with anyone knowingly if I had it, but it's only really infectious through blood on blood....and even if you do have it, it takes fucking forever to actually effect you 90 percent of the time....Other forms of hepatitis hit a lot harder and a lot faster, but aren't generally chronic. Hepatitis C is, and that's why it's considered such a bad disease, but in reality, the majority of people who have it, have had it for long periods of time nd aren't even aware of it! There's scarier shit, in my book...but I've met a lot of people with it, and the only people I know, save for one, that have actually had health issues because of it, got it decades earlier and were now in their 50s-60s and just starting to show symptoms. And even a lot of those people can bring it back down to very manageable levels, if not beat it altogether with the current treatments!

So, the un-informed paranoia is not really justified!

although, it is easy as fuck to get when using IV drugs, but it takes two to tango....If you go around and use other people's injection equipment and come up positive for a disease, it's just as much your fault, if not more your fault than the person that you shared with that had something!

So implying that MMW is just going around "infecting" people is pretty insulting!

Healing bruises

There's nothing you can do really. You could cover it up with skin-concealer. I find time is the only thing that really helps...once they turn yellowish in hue they're vanish in a few more days.[/QUOTE

AFOM told me hot showers works to get rid of bruisers easier. I tried this, maybe twice a day, & then ice them down a few times a day & it helps the healing process. SWIM has a nasty bruise right above the elbow, tried & did hit a vein there. Toward the end though, the rig must have pushed in a bit further and SWIM started swelling. Undid tourniquet quickly & started rubbing the area & just made the bruise larger & more painful, from what I was told. Anyway, getting off topic. Try the hot shower & ice pack routine & they should be gone within 2 to 3 days. True also that using a rig for a second time usually causes bruising ALLOT worse. Best of luck to everyone.
