Hey guys. i've been shooting up alot recently and quit yesterday. yesterday i did a lot, mainly in my forearm and it is bruised. i am leaving for a trip tomorow morning early with my family and they CANNOT see this. I am really trying to get better and will with this time off from the trip. its bruised in the crevice almost like its under my arm. can anyone recommend any cream to cover it up or help it heal? also if anyone has had this problem, how long does it last? thanks in advance. cTr

expect it to be there for a week or so..
put neosporin (triple antibiotic ointment) on it with moist heat compresses for 20min at a time. As many times a day as you can or feel comfortable with.
That will help it heal the fastest it can. And for future reference, forearms usually bruise VERY easily when IVing.. you need to be pretty good at shooting and not moving the needle around inside while using your forearms or you WILL get a nasty bruise..
And as far as what to use to "cover" it, i would just wear a long sleeve shirt, or sweatshirt.

here is a link to the thread you could have posted this in.. http://www.bluelight.ru/vb/showthread.php?t=487276

Yeah, not much you can do now. If your not too "pale skinned" you can try put some cover up over it, but whenever I tried that my skin was too white and it would look even weirder than the bruise itself.

i would clean it well, then rub it down with anti-bacterial ointment (not cream)
and to cover it up
look for make up (cover up and i recommend powder too.)
that matches your skin tone.
and next time be more careful with injection..
there are a lot of risks to it
Be safe and goodluck..

There isn't much you can do once it's already there. What you can do has sufficiently been covered by the above posters.

Your best bet is to avoid such things from happening in the first place. Use new pins EVERY single time and rotate.
