brown tar 4acodmt

So I was given some 4acodmt from a friend, except its brown and sticky and resin like. Anybody know why it would be like this/is it likely to have lost a lot of potency?

I heard about a brown goop going around a while back being passed off as 4-AcO-DMT freebase.

Perhaps it is the freebase, perhaps it is something entirely different. All I know is that I had the fumarate for a year and it never changed color or lost potency.

AcO will break down into that goop you're describing (hydrolysis?). Apparently it's still okay to use.
