So last night everything was going fine and before I was going to sleep I saw my brother, he was fine..I knew he had taken Xanax because he is prescribed it but other than Xanax I couldn't tell he was on anything. My dad woke me up and showed me the way my brother was acting..he was laying on his back on the ground and conscious but he could NOT speak at all, when he would try to speak it would be like he didn't have enough air to even talk, couldn't get words out at all, also could not comprehend anything we or the EMT's were saying to him.

Another reaction his body was doing was that he was just constantly stretching his lags and moving his hands around to the point they had to tie his hands on the hospital bed, he just wouldn't stop moving them (wasn't a seizure). After the ambulance took him to the hospital we arrived and he was still having the same arm and leg movements in the hospital bed to the point like i said, they had to tie his arms to the hospital bed. Also through all this even with us opening his eyes forcefully he could not comprehend anything of what was going on. He awoke later in the hospital and he is a lot better but whenever he is grabbing a cup or something of that short he is extremely shaky.

He told me he took 30 10mg Flexeril pills (15 after feeling a buzz and then another 15 thinking it will maximize the buzz..) Has anyone had any experience with a flexeril overdose? It was pretty scary/weird to witness, much different than a seizure

So sorry to hear about your brother. I'm so glad your dad found him in time! It's good to hear he seems to be doing better. I guess the challenge now is to try to help him, since when someone takes that many pills it is a warning sign that something is wrong. Why is he prescribed 8mg Xanax?

I have seen those type of body movements you described in overdoses before. Just out of curiosity, why makes you say it is not a seizure - did the paramedics say that? Seizures are not strictly limited to convulsions. One type of seizure, for example, involves the person losing awareness and making odd or pointless repetitive movements. Not sure whether what happened to your brother was technically a seizure or not, though, but I have seen and/or heard about those kind of movements with a few different types of drug ODs, including with serotonin syndrome.

How are you feeling about all this? <3

OP, this is something you need to discuss with your brother and, more importantly, something your brother needs to discuss with his doctor.

In regards to a cyclobenzaprine overdose - you did the right thing involving emergency services. Bluelight is not an emergency service. Have your brother speak with a specialist, there is no harm reduction in taking 300mg of Flexeril and then asking what happened. It's an overdose situation and is something that needs to be handled by professionals who have been trained to deal with medical emergencies.

I'm going to close this thread - PM me if you have any questions.
