Investigators say Ramon Rodriguez, 45, who was arrested Wednesday, dropped off high-priced cocaine orders hidden in menus, insulated pizza bags and pizza boxes.

He delivered pizza for Papa John’s in Brooklyn — but cops said he made his real dough selling coke on the side.
Deliveryman Ramon Rodriguez, 45, dropped off high-priced cocaine orders for years as he made the rounds in Sunset Park delivering pizza, cheesesticks and buffalo wings, according to police.

He allegedly complained often about how his illegal side business was interrupting his pizza deliveries.

Investigators said his drugs were often packaged in Papa John’s menus, pizza boxes or an insulated pizza delivery bag.

The high-flying pizza slinger was nabbed Wednesday after he sold undercover police officers a kilo of blow worth $27,500 during a pizza run, officials said.

Rodriguez sold cocaine to undercover cops on 21 occasions beginning in the fall of 2011, the NYPD and the city’s special narcotics prosecutor’s office said.

It says high-priced, not high quality.

Rodriguez’s flabbergasted coworkers couldn’t believe cops’ claims. The father of four was always cash-strapped, they said.

“He used to hit us for money for food and gas,” said Mohammad Ali, 24, the manager of the Sunset Park Papa John’s. “We were always giving him $20 to $30 at a time.”
lol

EDIT: double lol@Mohammad Ali

Haha I love this. I thought this was going to be about a small time guy selling grams. In which case I can understand. But when i found out that this guy is like fucking scarface working for $3.25 an hour plus tips. Fucking amazing would love to meet this dude.

They must have liked the deliveries. Or thought Papa John/other drivers may have been in on it.

they knew something was up when too many people were actually buying that shitty pizza on a regular basis

Why did it take 21 undercover sales before they nabbed him?
^ I was thinking the same thing.
They do this so they can put him away for life. 21 charges. It's a new trend by LEO in the US.

note to drug dealers: just because you didn't get busted right after a sale doesn't mean your time isn't coming. I once knew an elected deputy constable who used to deliver lbs of weed in his cop car lol.. Busted after 5 times.

I have to agree with this. That is not "pizza", but "some plastic, processed shit that looks quite a bit like pizza".
