Germany for now, US again soon
So, I finally got a chance to try bromocriptine, which I was hoping would help my menstrual cramps (as bromocriptine is a dopamine agonist and thus a prolactin inhibitor).
I took one 2.5 mg pill) at about 7 pm on a wed night (I was still having some cramps at that point)...and after about half an hour I began feeling different and kinda fucked up in a way different from anything else I've done. I couldn't really tell at that point whether it was a 'good' kind of fucked up or a 'bad' kind of fucked up.
After about an hour and a half, I started feeling super shitty...bad headache, and NAUSEOUS...no pain relief from my cramps, although I was very distracted by the unpleasant effects of the bromocriptine. I had some trouble falling asleep, not because I was at all stimulated (far from it), but because I felt so unpleasant/uncomfortable.
When I woke up the next morning I still felt like shit, though I felt slightly less nauseous. For the first couple hours after I woke up I couldn't stand up for more than a few minutes, or I would get intensely dizzy and faint, and also my headache would worsen. Eventually the effects subsided enough to the point where I could stand/sit up for prolonged periods of time.
My bf took one pill also, a few hours after I took mine, out of curiosity (at that point I hadn't really started feeling too shitty yet). He experienced exactly the same effects over the same amount of time.
In conclusion:
Nasty side effects, ZERO recreational value, NO psychedelic effects. You'd have to pay me a LOT to touch the stuff again.

Some people are sensitive to the nausea from bromo. It should fade with time.
Personally I don't use it, don't see the point, although a lot of other bodybuilders seem to like it.
Cabergoline would be another alternative if you still want to pursue this angle mate, though I'm not too familiar with these drugs in relation to menstrual cramps.

Thanks for the tip.
Tell me, why do bodybuilders use it? What does it do for them?
I also forgot to mention another major side effect that both my bf and I experienced -- a really bad stuffy nose. It was difficult to breath at times.

we use it for prolactin inhibition and to burn fat, though there are better fat burners that don't produce such severe sides. But bromo will aid in getting below the 3% Body Fat mark which is very tough to do.

Yup, that's what we use it for. Also, those sides do go away after about a week or two. I am taking 5mg/day, and initially that was a pretty harsh dose. Now, I actually take it in conjunction with 6mg hydergine and 1600mg piracetam, and that combination works wonders to restore a libido that trenbelone acetate removes. It keeps my girl happy, and keeps me ripped to the bone so I can cash checks.
As far as cabergoline goes, it is the superior compound in every way, but it can get real costly. I ran out of Dostinex, which is why I switched to the bromo, which I have in large supply.
